You don't need top attack NAG and Lahat to do effect Its costly compare to a regular T-72m1 round like the one OFB make,

I doubt they will go for this turret as PLA themselves introduce newer turret..

NAG and LAHAT will blow its turret 20ft in sky as it dont have any HEAVY era over turret to minimize Tandem warheads..

I think Pakistan have low budget, Chinese offered PA with newer turrets back in days but they are looking at this..

It reportedly beat out T-90 and second hand Leo2A4 in a recent Peruvian tender, which you all probably read about, so I do not think that a mere T-72 can defeat this tank.

out of curiosity who would be a potential customer for the Arjun? as i see it the smaller countries wont need them or cant afford them. larger ones have designs of their own.

Those sketches are mainly show deign flaws Not Performance in the Type-96/ early 99 tanks, thats why a T-72 can take it out..

DRDO marketing strategy wont work as its primary costumer don't show much interest in Product..

The point of being new, not because the design, but for the tech used, the power train system, it's a hydromechanical automatic drive gear system. The diesel engine is 1500hp China made. The fire control system is up graded, the 125 gun is a very good one, can fire missile now, the electronic and information system also much improved. This tank is far better than T90.
This is the result of technology development, T90 is old.

Arjun has some very good (imported) parts. But is the end product as good? India army's preference of T90 over it seems to suggest that the answer is no.

The Peruvian tank tender was against the PT-91, T-90 and M84. China offered zero interest loans which pushed them into favour but was subsequently cancelled.

This is the result of technology development, T90 is old.

It's so easy for people without any basic even, knowledge to make judgements based more on their "patriotism" or political choices and prefferences than on knowledge.

Another well informed "specialist"... Leopard 2A4 didn't even participated in tests, and choice was done mainly because of vehicle price and political/economic profits not vehicle performance... not to mention that Peruvians quicklu resigned from deal and told that MBT-2000 in the end did not meet expectations.

Was watching a documentary in which, The Abrams MBTs were undergoing trails infront the Pak military govt. But they kept failing due to heat and maintainence.

I wonder what documentary, another one with "pseudo" specialists... in the meanwhile M1 meet all requirements of US Army and go through desert trails without problems, same high reliability it meet in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom, it is used by countries that have large deserts and no complains about it's performance are known, even Australians have no complains about it. Same with trails Kuwait, ARMOR Magazine had some informations about them, Kuwaitis were more impressed with M1A2 performance than Challenger 2.

But yeah I know, who caes about real world facts, there is some TV documentary where they say so, so it must be "truth"!
