Chinese naval frigate sailed within 24 nautical miles of Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands.

Here is the trend in China's reclamation of its sovereign territory.

    1997: China reclaims Hong Kong.
    1999: China reclaims Macau.
2012: China assumes full control over Huangyuan Island (aka Scarborough Shoal).
2013: China establishes an ADIZ over the East China Sea.
2016: Chinese naval frigate sails within 24 nautical miles of Diaoyu Islands (aka Senkaku Islands). See NY Times citation below.

I predict China will assume full control over the Diaoyu Islands in the next five to ten years. Full production of Chinese J-20 heavyweight stealth fighters is expected to occur in the next one to two years. Thus, we can expect Chinese stealth fighters to control Asian skies.

Chinas rampant expansionism and subjugation of her neighbourhood has unfortunately continued unchecked. The communist party is now attempting to capture the sea by drawing "nine dashed line" and such which does not hold any legal standing. Japan should deploy surface to air missiles and ground force on these islands which are legitimately theirs.

Japan is doing the same with its ally the Americans.

Next few years are going to be interesting.

Lets just see how the tag teams play this game.

But, the chinese should not just count their chickens before they hatch. Russians have a national life of their own and that will not let them forget the earlier betrayals.

Likewise lets just see how much the Japanese get supported by the Americans. After all they are allies, right? Allies with LSA signed.
