China will await the time there is General Election in India!

And then........
Sir,
actually things are moving fast for China and East Asia.
What Nehru could not achieve through NAM Bandung Confrence in Malaisia, Obama in this conference has achieved. That is isolation of China. It is really historical and Chinese can not take it so easy. They will definitely target the weaker amongst the leaders, that is India. Nehru (read india ) was primarily targeted as he was bossing around without rugs under his feet.

India is comparatively in no better position today thanks to MMS, Ahaluwalia and Chidamabaram criminally having ignored military preparations over last fifteen years. They were busy amassing honey for them and the queen.

You maybe right.

But I presume we must wait and watch.

China is as slippery as an eel.

They were purring like a favourite domesticated tomcat at the Summit.

I believe when Wen or was it Hu returned on safe soil they took up their same refrain to India.

Imagine that the Chinese cannot make up their minds and that is so evident with their leaders going around with names like Hu, Wen and the like.

If they are confused as to Hu is Who or Wen is When, then what difference will they find when they keep the world guessing as to Hu or Who Flung Dung?

It could not be Mao Tse Dong who has been flung to 7th Heaven and gone and happy!

He is Dong and not Dung!

I guess army will be free to deal with china at that time . No political interference. :)
India is too cautious and too meek!

Maybe that too is a good policy!

Around 1962 or just before, Nehru was bossing around with formidable like Sukarno (or Suharto) Nasar, Tito (sale ko pito), Bhandarnaiake like solid NAM leaders.

In order to prove who is the boss, that is Nehru or Chou En Lai (Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai), they summarily attacked India and that was the end of the Kasmiri Pundit and India's prestige as leader of NAM.

USA and all other NAM leaders were missing in action or rather took shelter of Mao Mao. That is why:

Where is the girl with MMS ??

unless election result is declared and winner is invited to form the government previous government will hold the power . so we will never be without the government and in case of war on country all election code of conducts will go to dustbins.

Elections are very far off.

I was seeking member's views what China can do before Apr 2012 when the snow melts on Indo - China border. By the time elections come, India would have had hundreds of Agni -IV and may be something more (minute-man or pershings to say the obsolete least).

I am asking about the vulnerable window of opportunity - that is one years hence ! What are the options with China or PLA ??

Always remember that China is slippery as an eel.

They say something one day and do just the opposite the next.

At the East Summit, they were gushing over India and all looked well.

As soon as they got back, they sent out a message to India that it was back to square One!!

No outsiders in SCS!

Chinese threat in South Asia sea to India

China - "outside forces" and "foreign companies" should not be involved in the South China Sea dispute.

In a direct warning to India, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said, "We don't hope to see outside forces involved in the South China Sea dispute and do not want to see foreign companies engage in activities that will undermine China's sovereignty and interest."

This was in response to a question on the discussions between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabaoon the sidelines of the East Asia summit in Bali 2011.

China's assertion of sovereignty over the South China Sea has sent all other affected countries pushing back by turning the issue into an international maritime problem. This was not on the Chinese agenda, because China wants to negotiate bilaterally with countries like Philippines andVietnam. With India marking a prominent presence in the South China Sea, Beijing is deeply unhappy.

Weakest Prime minster of India :

India is having the weakest prime minister at present and thus there should be no doubt of expecting any response from India instead of talks. India is not in the position to give any tough talks or tough actions if Chinese side go for something. India knows the Chinese incursion in POK , Chinese are building naval base in Pakistan , they have entered in Indian ocean already circling all around but despite all this India is not able to do much towards china despite having competitive armed forces.

Leadership lacks and thus lacks the tough decision and results downgrade of polices and country.

Big Question :

What if china sends its navy to stop exploration by Indian ships or what if Chinese navy destroys one of the ship in arm conflict in the south china sea ? What could be the toughest response which can be expected from India ?

small answer to big question . we will get moral right to sink few chinese ships passing through Indian ocean. Dam hai to they should come and give protection to all their civilian ships in Indian ocean .

China can resort to occupying some more territory in the A.P region or along the himalayas, as it has
done time and again in the past. It may also resort to naval operations against the ONGC. India has till
now been acting as a coward against china. However, the response this time around seems positive and
brave. Hope to see some strong resistance by India.

Either the region belongs to Vietnam, or to China. How can China have a dispute with Vietnam, on whether the two blocks on the South China Sea, belong to either China, or Vietnam? Obviously, the onus is on China, to prove her authority, failing which, if her rights are genuine, she doesn't have to enter into any discussion with Vietnam. Perhaps, China can do nothing with Vietnam, because her case cannot be defended. So, how would China enter into a confrontation in the South China Sea, where she cannot prove her sovereignty?

Keep off South China Sea, India warned

Keep off South China Sea, India warned - The Times of India

BEIJING: Calling the South China Sea a disputed region, China has warned India to refrain from oil exploration in the Vietnamese blocks. "The area is a disputed one. So we do not think that it would be good for India to do that (explore oil)," deputy director general of Asian affairs in the foreign ministry Sun Weidong said. "We hope India would do more to ensure peace and security in the region."

Asking New Delhi not to get involved in the "disputes", the top Chinese foreign ministry official said the sovereignty of the islands in the region was a major issue and India should not carry out oil exploration till it was resolved.

"We want common development in the region. We hope Indian side is not involved in those disputes. We hope India would do more to ensure peace and security in the region," Sun told a group of visiting Indian journalists. Asked why China was objecting to India's exploration projects in the Vietnamese oil blocs when China were involved in carrying out infrastructure projects in PoK, the top official in-charge of India affairs said both issues are "totally different".
