The Chinese have many a rare specie and exotic array of animals and sea creatures on their cuisine.

While the Govt may try to ensure that some are banned from the table, it is well nigh a difficult task, given that these animal and sea creatures are high on the palate acceptability and craving.

While the common Chinaman may be deterred because of the draconian laws, but the powerful and high and mighty always get away or so it is said. And those who are to protect the law, Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

It is silly to laugh at it. At least the Chinese Govt. took immediate action, which is a far cry from what the usual norm for India or most of the nations for the matter.
