One has to be a human to recognise others to be human.

How can an authoritarian Communist dictatorship be expected to be human to recognise their people to be human. Communists merely take their people to be tools who will toil to keep the Communist Lords and Princelings in the lap of luxury and comfort.

The dictums that the Chinese Communist apply to governance are:

    1. He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.

    2. War is peace.
    Freedom is slavery.
    Ignorance is strength.

    3. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.

    4. If you want to keep a secret, you must also hide it from yourself.

    5. But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.

    6. Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

    7. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know what no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.

    8. In the face of pain there are no heroes.

    9. Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.

10 The choice for mankind lies between freedom and happiness and for the great bulk of mankind, happiness is better. (Posters will notice that our Chinese poster friends emphasise that happiness with money in the pocket is better than freedom thought, freedom and democracy)

China cannot change its president. China and CCP are two different entities. CCP is a parasitic alien that infests the Chinese body politic and cannot be eradicated without major surgical intervention.

A Pakistani to say China should change its president is a real irony... Must be seriously cut up with Xi because it has give Pakistan a total miss or the Pakistani is a bleeding heart jihadi angry with the oppression in Xinjiang.
I can't believe that for you Hong Kong will figure anywhere closer than a few light years away from your narrow corridor of concerns.
