@ kunal ..sir is there any problems reported about bullup assault rifles as against conventional rifles?iam asking this coz PLA is going to replace the much hyped QBZ95 in favour of QBZ 03 which is loosely based on the type 87 experimental rifle which is not bullup in nature...and what about fire control and aiming of bullup rifles as the front sights are placed very near to the eye as compared to ordinary rifles and during automatic firing this will be a big problem

Now days modern Bullpups have no problems, Older variant had problems like case ejecting near face etc..

QBZ 95 will be modified not replaced totally, QBZ problems were fore grip, sights and blowbacks, these problems are rectified in newer models, QBZ 03 is a convetional degin and primarily targeted for export and replacing older varient of Type 81..

Sights are different on most bullpups, SA-80 use Iron sight which is good, TAR use Reflex, SAR-21 use Both so does FN-2000, all are fine..

No, During Auto-fire Bullpups are more stable Coz the weight and blowbacks are directly absorbed by shoulders, Also as the barrel is not long and weight is in middle its more balanced than most conventional rifles when fire..

IA is presently like TAR-21 and their are more purchase of that gun through out IA`s different forces..

IA mindset is unknown but IA top brass looks happy with TAR preformance aka Bullpup preformance..

it is evident from a drdo presentation that the finsas gun is suposed to be a bullpup design based on fn-2000 which was originally purchased by mha for the spf.also what do you think whether army should adopt a traditional design 7.62 calliber rifle(developed by tiruchirrapalli ofb) or a multi-caliber bullpup rifle(developed by arde)?

Khaybar/KH-2002 is an Iranian designed assault rifle, derived from the DIO S 5.56 assault rifle and further developed by Iran's Defense Industries Organization (DIO). It was designed in 2001 with samples produced in 2003 with the eventual production of the KH2022 commencing in 2004. The KH-2002 is an Iranian indigenously produced 5.56 mm bullpup rifle, built on what seems to be a bullpup conversion of the DIO S-5.56 assault rifle, an Iranian version of the Chinese Norinco CQ rifle, by itself a clone of the M16-A1. It is similar in appearance to the FAMAS assault rifle.

Even Iran has got better looking guns than us :(

it is not beauty contest, what matters is that it works in field, if it do the job in our conditions, then it works, mind you in India we have worlds toughest and extreme climate. BTW some of the armies are changing from bullpup to regular rifles.

QBZ 03 are used in the airborne troops, in case of bayonet combat, the parachute troops landing at back of the enemy, with little ammunition, QBZ 03 is long with butt better performance when hand fighting

1975 AK Bullpup Rifle

The 1975 AK Bullpup Rifle is a highly-compact semi-automatic, gas-operated firearm with a detachable
box magazine. It is equipped with an adjustable rear sight, a post front sight and short synthetic buttstock. Its design, while reminiscent of the short, handy rifles used by crews in military armored vehicles, makes it ideal for use by campers and hunters needing a short, handy rifle for carry in a backpack into the field, and other users needing a compact firearm. This type of unique firearm, with the trigger set in front of (rather than behind) the firearm's action (its moving parts) is referred to asa "bullpup" configuration. The forward placement of the trigger mechanism allows the great compactness.

Specifications:
Caliber: 7.62x39mm Type of Firearm: Semi-Automatic Rifle
Magazine Capacity: 30 rd. box mag. (may be lower in some jurisdictions due to local or state laws)
Overall Length: 28-inches Barrel length: 16-1/4 inches
Weight: 6-1/2 pounds Finish: Black
Sights: Front - post, Rear - twin peep aperture
Handguard material: Synthetic Pistol Grip: Synthetic.

Any bullpup has the problem of the muzzle being near you face. The muzzleblast will lift the hat off your head.
