This statement is disputable - that the condition of roads in Pakistan is "better" than in India. Just because 2-3 cities of Pakistan are connected by "motorways" does not make the roads better than India. India has the Mumbai-Pune, Yamuna expressway, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, etc. international standard expressways which cover a fairly great distance put together.People like to travel by roads in Pak and which is why the conditions of roads, motorways and high ways are better than India In India, most people travel by train. Therefore the trains in India are far better than trains of Pak.
we have the best motorway in asia and its not limited to few citiesThis statement is disputable - that the condition of roads in Pakistan is "better" than in India. And Pakistan has nothing like the Golden Quadrilateral highway network in India, with thousands and thousands of kilometers of endless smooth four-lane and six-lane highways crisscrossing the country.
Your statement of "Pakistani roads better than Indian" might have been true in the 1980s, not anymore. It is the other way round now.
A very common mis-understanding by Pakis and i will quote an Intelligent Paki on one Paki Automative forum to reply to your mis-conception....She said that Indian socialist Congress who ruled in 50,60,70s,80s thought that roads were only for motorcars of the rich and not for Poor-driven Bullock carts, Horse-Tanga, Public Buses hence roads which were already build during British era plus the Pakka roads which existed were not in the picture just because of poor Indian automative scene which suddenly exploded in the last two decades overtaking Paki roads and automotive scene......Infact Pakistan being smaller in size should have best railway network taking some cues, lessons and examples from smaller Western Europe vs Socialist infra based Eastern Europe.............People like to travel by roads in Pak and which is why the conditions of roads, motorways and high ways are better than India In India, most people travel by train. Therefore the trains in India are far better than trains of Pak.
sindh govt has already initiated circular railway project and mass transit train system for karachibullet trains not possible
But atleast some development is expected unlike in PPP govt when the country was pushed back by 2 decades
Nawaz Govt though has allocated about 10bn pkr for the start of metro buss projects in karachi and Islamabad similar to lahore
i know as per old news..musharaf even had planned a operational metro rail in lahore by 2010.sindh govt has already initiated circular railway project and mass transit train system for karachi
i agree about this partya but i think nawaz sharif ill provide guarantee at least he is not like zardari
Well...Then you don't know anything about the conditions of road, highways and motor ways in Pak and If you don't know anything then its not my fault. Pakistan has built the first motor way of South Asia in 1997.This statement is disputable - that the condition of roads in Pakistan is "better" than in India. Well...Tell this to your Govt so that they can ask this from Pak cos your Govt is more keen to do business with Pak.How? May I ask?
Best in Asia? Really? For your information, "Asia" includes Korea, Japan, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia - the list goes on. Best in Asia, really?we have the best motorway in asia and its not limited to few cities
Why don't you both give me some information on the number of kilometers of "international standard motorways" you have? How many km of such roads, and how many km of four-laned highways? How many kilometers of six-laned highways? Let us have these figures, and we will multiply your figures by 5 (to bring it on par with India's larger size), and then we will have a "comparison".Well...Then you don't know anything about the conditions of road, highways and motor ways in Pak and If you don't know anything then its not my fault. The motor ways and high ways of Pakistan are well standard and even lot of Indians admire this when they visit Pakistan.
First I am not talking about the length of the Motor ways. I am talking about the condition of the motor ways, high ways and roads in Pak as compared to their Indian counterparts. All Pakistan motor ways are either 4 lanes or 6 lanes. Perhaps following link can help you.Best in Asia? Really? Anyway what is your criteria of "best"? Which road is "better" - the Islamabad-Lahore "motorway" or the Delhi-Agra Expressway or the Beijing-Shanghai highway or the Mumbai-Pune expressway or the Riyadh-Jeddah highway? Which is the "best" among these? It is so silly to make statements like "we have the best".

"Indeed, for sheer spotlessness, efficiency and emptiness there is nothing like the M2 in the rest of South Asia."

@arnabmit
I don't mind if you keep living in your dream world where everything related to India is better than others irrespective of any substantive evidence or reality. I have met many Indians who have visited Pak and they really admire roads infrastructure of Pak especially the Motorways. Anyway the first Motorway of South Asia was built in Pak in 1997. Give some credit to Pak.
