Bullet train To Run from Karachi to Peshawar

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

KOT ADDU: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif on Friday pledged that if voted to power, the best communication infrastructure would be built in the country, and they would start a bullet train to ply between Peshawar and Karachi.

Addressing a public meeting in Kot Addu, Nawaz said unemployed youth would be provided soft loans so that they could start their own businesses and stand at their own feet, adding that they would open 10 banks in Kot Addu to provide soft loans. He said the youth was with his party and if returned to power, they would together reconstruct Pakistan. He said relief would also be provided to farmers by ensuring provision of fertilisers, seeds, pesticides and diesel to them.

Nawaz Sharif said the people would vote for the PML-N on 11th of May for development and prosperity of the country.The PML-N president said had they not been sent into exile, there would not have been an energy crisis. He said Kot Addu would be given the status of a district and Chowk Sarwar Shaheed as Tehsil.

Nawaz said it was a pity that Pakistan had no respect in the world despite being an atomic power. He said in 1999 Pakistan was progressing fast under his government but a military dictator overthrew the elected government and reversed the wheel of progress. "We will rebuild Pakistan with the help of youth and Pakistan will again be on the track of progress.

"Had our government been allowed to continue, Pakistan would have been a different country by now," he added. Nawaz said he was appealing for votes because he wanted to bring Pakistan out of the crises it was facing.

Just a few hours since the victory and ''BULLET DREAMS'' have already taken over reality.

Let Mian run his govt first.

Then, let them run their Railways first.

There is no end of bullets in Pakistan, in fact there is a train (I mean a trail) of bullets already!

Apologies to The Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion;
As idle as a painted ship
Upon a painted ocean.

Bullets, bullets, every where,
And all the people on the brink;
dead bodies, bodies, every where,
With not any soul to logically think.

As per Dawn there is a queue of independent candidates who have won the election and would like to join the Government. The running joke is that Nawaz Sharif is accepting 10 Crores per victorious candidate.

Nawaz Sharif made the motorway, he is big on infra projects. Not sure if he can start a Bullet Train, but even a High Speed Train would be a massive achievement.
Pakistani railways are pathetic.

China complained that the engines they gave were good and it was poor maintenance that gave China a bad name.

Here is another to put China name in the mud.

There will be accidents galore!

A railway that is so horribly inefficient will only add to China's woe!

To give credit to the Pakistanis,

Their motorway is world class built by Sharif, and Islamabad is probably the most well planned and maintained city in the Subcontinent. Any Indian visiting Islamabad, is invariably surprised to see Islamabad, and disappointed to see Karachi and Lahore.

And Pakistan is geographically a lot smaller (Balochistan is deserted and makes up half of Pakistan). It would be a lot cheaper, and easier for them to start Bullet Trains. And they have only a few big cities that need connecting like Lahore, Karachi and maybe Peshawar.
