The newly introduced visa policy is only meant to attract tourists from rich countries, both Indians and Pakistani tourists contributes little to Chinese tourism industry.
You are high.

Why would I spend 2000 dollars on a ticket to China just to stay there for 72 hours? If you haven't noticed by now, China isn't exactly close to Europe or North America.

I don't see how this will affect the tourism industry.

My Theory:
India didn't got the Visa because, this would increase flow of migrated Tibetans in India to China. They usually visit China to meet relatives or visit places.
Though their stay is long but still this would have effected.

Pakistan was not considered, as China was named recently helping Pakistan in their Terrorist Activity specially India. If they would have given it to Pak & ignored India, this would have effect the diplomatic relations between India & China.

Firstly, this change was uploaded into TIMATIC (the airline visa-rules database) over a year ago (effective date January 1, 2012).

The exclusion which is truly notable is UK/Ireland (original article misreported - UK citizens do not get this benefit). I don't think anybody expected Indian citizens to get this exclusion.

We must show chinese their place and allow visa on arrival to all SCS rim contries except China. They have tried to equate us with Pakistan and send a message that they hold us in no better esteem than Pakistan. let us also tell them that our borders are open to anyone and everyone who is opposed to china and chinese for us are no better than Pakistanies.

Visa on arrival in India should be for all SE Asian nations except Kampuchea.

Pakistan maybe China's ally, but it appears that China does not think on the same lines.

Rather unfortunate since Pakistan is but an extension of China, though not officially declared.

That is hardly how one treats a most loyal and obedient ally.

OK, there is of course the danger of Pakistan liberating Xinjiang.

Because of pakis and arab ,all brown skin consider as terrorist around the world

I wouldn't classify all Arabs here. Arabs are generally pretty cool people, all the Arab terrorists move to Pakistan.

So, tourism in China means a cash cow and not opening China to people to see the historical marvels!

Money is all the Chinese know!
Yes, tourism is a cash cow for every country, even in india.

Or are you suggesting that indian hotel, taxi, shops provid free service to tourist?

Actually quite a few Indians travelling to Korea and Japan and even Australia are transiting via Beijing and Shanghai (and I believe even one of the southern cities- not sure if it is Gunagzhou) because of the extremely attractive airfares being offered by Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines.
No, most of indians travelling to Korea and Japan by Hongkong. Very few goes by Mainland.

Furthermore, indians haven't prove their purchase power yet.

Now days it is cheaper to those destinations travel by the mainland that by Hong Kong. China Eastern and China Southern airlines offer some amazing airfares.

No, tourism need not be a cash cow solely aimed at nations which has rich tourists.

It is also to share one's country's culture and heritage.

For instance Bodh Gaya in India. The infrastructure there is not to attract only the rich Japanese, but also many who come from less affluent countries. The aim is basically to help Buddhists of all income group a decent chance to achieve their spiritual solace and need.

Are you suggesting that Indian hotels, taxis, shops are there in India just for tourists?

These are there for convenience for all, be they foreigners or Indians.

So, Chinese hotels, taxis, shops are sole for tourist? Is that what you wish to imply?

Nobody is crying horse shit over Indians not getting visa on arrival we are talking about your brotherly country Pakistan.

Pakistanis hold rallies in pakistan to show there love for China but the common chinese see them as terrorists but still the online love is really funny
In Hong Kong pakistanis are famous as drug peddlers

India also gives visa on arrival to certain countries like:

1.Finland 2.Japan 3.Luxembourg
4.New Zealand 5.Singapore 6. Cambodia
7. Vietnam 8. Philippines 9. Laos
10.Myanmar 11.Indonesia
Bureau of Immigration

So, in a way India has already done that and it is not just for 72 hrs but 30 days. But yeah, the credentials of all these countries are good.

Is UK rich? I do not think so. Living in China can make you believe this but its not true.

First, I am living in Australian in the past 10 years.
Second, even it stuck to financial crisis today, the British population is still far richer than the majority of Chinese, not to mention indians.
The reason you don't see is that you spent too much time in your home. It is time for you to walk out and have a look of the real lives of your countrymen.
