In fact, these exercise go a long way to curb piracy.

I, think it was stupid on part of PN for not inviting the Indian Navy, if we can have Yanks and Chinese in the same exercise, bringing in India wouldn't have broken hell loose.

These exercises are not merely to build bonhomie.

It is also to learn of the tactics, and of the electronic and sonic signatures, competence of personnel, leadership capabilities and other such issues.

Hence, PN not inviting the IN is understandable.

Exactly, PN knows little abut our SAM systems. The IN precise radar frequencies, pulse width and repition rates are not open information. That meant the PN might not be able to jam or spoof the system when the tie comes.

Even if India was invited, Iam sure they wont send any Warships but they may send a few personals to watch i think.



Btw, What type class ships did USN and PLAN send?. Also just for you guys to know, The SLNS Suranimala is a Israeli Saar class type Corvettee.

It seems both IN and PN uses Sea Kings Helicopters for their ASW roles.

Z-9E Helis doesn't match the capabilities a Sea Eagle gives.


Z-9E will only be used on F-22p Frigates and maybe on PN Future Corvettes, since its light small and suits the requirements. Whereas, Sea eagle will used for Oliver Perry class and land based Helicopter operations.
