    Airbus received orders for 130 planes on the first day at Le Bourget

    man the rate they r expanding we will see long que of jet in tarmacks and air.we should immidiately begin the work for constructing new airports and maintainence facility for these new birds.

    As long as 737 is the main competitor A 320 will get the bulk of the orders. It is a wider plane with more space inside and cheaper than the 737. It is in the larger planes that Boeing has an edge. One has to just travel around and see how many 777 s are flying globally.

    It remains to be seen how does the Dreamliner turn out.

    In recent times the LCCs from India have really boosted the sales figures for Airbus. Had they gotten together we could have got some serious offsets from Airbus, like the Chinese have done.

    PARIS: AirAsia places 200-strong A320neo order

    Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia has placed a firm order for 200 Airbus A320neo twinjets. They will be powered by CFM International Leap engines. Airbus chief Tom Enders said the agreement was "historic". It means AirAsia has chalked up firm orders for 375 A320-family jets.

    Airbus is kicking Boeing out of the medium line market. Russia is making a comeback with modest SSJ sales.
