KABUL (Reuters) - Afghanistan's army got its first female officers in decades on Thursday when 29 women graduated in a class of new recruits who hope to help take the lead role in national security from foreign forces by 2014.

Yeah this is good news. Finally, Afghans have decided to take the road to rational and practical ways of life rather than radical jihadi ways of Taliban. This is a very good initiative for the country to reform and become an image of pre-AKP Turkey of Asia. Very good initiative. I wish them all the best to get out of Pakistan's mulla shadow and become a peaceful and stable country once again.
