Just waiting for the day when IAF would ask Meteor to be integrated with it for FOC.
Subhanallah
............................................................
Later they will say
Increase the payload so we can accomodate nirbhay/brahmos on tejas.....

They need to understand the capabilities of tejas.

Now this is not stupidity on part of IAF, but sheer politics to over burden and kill it. They should know the fact that integrating a particular weapon system does take time and that too when you are talking about foreign system to integrate with an indigenous design. Its not just a nut and screwdriver job ki lagaya ghumaya ho gaya. Designer and integrator has to undertake lot of things into consideration when writing code for each and every individual system and running the same in dry test again and again and again.

In your face Dassault Aviation! You thought LCA was not worthy of a digital Fly-By-Wire FCS, look what we developed ourselves. Two 1000 lb fin stabilised general purpose bombs on tandem pylon but only on port wing. Yet LCA took off straight flew straight and dropped it's load without spinning (departing controled flight).

few days ago, I have just quickly reviewed some F16C handbook... some illustration might be helpful here...the Accessory in right circle is attached on the the Engine...the Accessories Gearbox in the left circle is mounted on the airframe, Generator(no.4) should be one part of this unit..and the 'Shaft' between them is the key...

An Aircraft-Mounted Accessories Gearbox (AMAGB) has been designed and developed for Tejas. It is a lightweight, single-input, multi-output gearbox, which takes its input drive from engine through a power take off shaft at a rated speed of 16810 rpm. AMAGB has a high power-to-weight ratio and a self-contained lubrication system. It carries four aircraft accessories on its output pads, viz., two hydraulic pumps (60 kW @ 6000 rpm each), one generator (40 kW @ 7950 rpm), and one starter unit. Together, these cater to a major part of hydraulic and electrical power requirements of the Tejas and hence forms a crucial part of its secondary power system.
--- the generator should be connected to one of these four output pads this gearbox with another shaft...

Why can't we double or triple the production of tejas...
Just outsource all the parts, sub assemblies and HAL needs to integrate them...
Chinese are making 40-60 j-10 per year...

HAL has already outsourced sub assembly parts. But only with one production unit you can't expect to produce 18 aircraft per year. It would always be 12 at max. Induction rate would be around 5 to 6 per year based on ground and flight test.

There is an operational issue here which should be addressable.
