The attack was on a nightclub, in other words a place where Turkish "liberals", tourists and like minded folks would gather, not the types that eulogise and shout AoA at Turdogan's Islamo-fascist gatherings or proclamations.

This was an attack on Turdogan's opponents not his jihadi supporters. This is an attempt to silence and browbeat the relatively modern Turk, who are less on religion and more on Europe. Slowly and steadily Turdogan is transforming Turkey into an Islamist state. Expect more such attacks in the future.

these attacks will Hurt their economy .

soon Turkey will become failed terrorist state Like Pakistaan .

who will create Problems in Europe .

I don't think Turdogan cares. He's busy squeezing European testimonials into letting his rabid dogs get a free run of Europe or else he'll unleash the jihadi hordes on them. Turkey always has been the sick man of Europe and under Turdogan, their economy has improved much.

However, he sees himself as Khalifa reincarnate who's destined to restore the old glory of Ottoman rule across Europe and Middle East. He reckons this will bring in the Oil fields of the Gulf and the riches of Europe to his disposal.

Dip in the economy is a minor blip in his opinion, he has his eyes set on ruling as a King.

to rule You need a Powerful self sufficient Army which Turkey does Not have .......

Arabs will never support them , shia will never support them ............

almost all their weapons are made by Americans or Europeans .

neither their Economy is that Good to Fight with Europeans .

there are Internal conflicts in turkey .

one third population is Kurdish .......and rest of them are divided into secular & jehadi .

it is very easy to create Civil wars in Turkey .

I don't think Turdogan wants to fight the Europeans, he wants to squeeze maximum he can out of them. He's hoping that the Shia Iranians and Sunni Arabas will take each other out, leaving the Sunni Turks to pick up the pieces and restore the glory days when Ottomans ruled Mecca/Medina/Karbala/Jerusalem.

Turkey does have a decent Military-industrial complex, but as you said they are still dependent on the West for much of their wares. Turdogan is hoping to play West against the Russians to extract concessions from the either side. He fancies himself as an Islamist Deng Xiaoping and make Turkey into an Islamic super power with him at the helm.

I won't be surprised if he goes for a nuke in the not too distant future. The problem is that Turdogan like all Islamo-fascist dictators is short on rational thinking and too blind-sided by the dreams of becoming a Khalifa to play the long term game.

But the man is an Isamic zealot and a crazy who will do anything to stay in power. Like Littlefinger in GoT, he doesn't care if the realm burns down to ashes if he can get to rule over the ruins.

  • Erdogan is a member of the Islamic Brotherhood.
  • Erdogan has been a benefactor of ISIS and has been involved in ISIS oil trade until Putin's Tupolevs fried those oil convoys.
  • Erdogan will support ISIS only as long as ISIS attacks the Kurds and Bashar al-Assad.
  • Erdogan will never support ISIS if it attacks Turkey.

Now, Turkey itself has two divisions:
  1. The secular and utterly patriotic deep state, the same people that shot down the Russian Sukhoi-24 and started the coup.
  2. The conservative Islamists, the same type that was friendly with ISIS.

So, we have the following entities:
  • Turkey-Islamist (T-I)
  • Turkey-Secular (T-S)
  • Russia (RF)
  • Kurds (Kurd)
  • al-Assad (SAA)
  • ISIS (IS)

Here are the relationships:
  • H: Hostile.
  • A: Allied.
  • A*: Fragile Alliance.

The suspect Lakhe Mashrapov - a Kyrgyz Uyghur.

Turkey embraces Muslim Uighurs who made perilous escape from China
Many of the hundreds of ethnic Uighurs who have fled China illegally to escape religious persecution and discrimination have made harrowing journeys to reach Turkey. But those who have finally settled in state housing in the city of Kayseri, in central Turkey, say despite the sufferings of their journey, they needed to escape injustice at home.
To Turkey: What goes around comes around

A modern fable of the farmer and the viper.

China should learn the same lesson before it's too late.
It's bonhomie with Pakistani terrorists resembles same approach by turkey. And would lead to same results.

Good Point.

Turkey will soon become Pakistan of Europe and will start running terror industry to blackmail Europe.

U've got to see the grandiose new presidential palace Sultan Erdogan built on a hill far away from Ankara downtown. And the Hqtrs building of AKP his ruling party is also remarkable.

I saw his speech at the parliament, (as interpreted) he was eloquently bashing the opposition (the secularist) how terrible the economy was and how rampant corruption was when they were in power. There were good reasons for his popularity.

When Erdogan visited Urumqi Xinjiang some local Uyghur muslims at the mosque and bazaars were very excited at seeing him. They were addicted to the pan-Turkic fantasy and Ummah :biggrin2:

‘Passports for Uyghurs’ story shadows Turkey’s relations with PRC
The year-long tug of war between Turkey and the PRC over several hundred Uyghur detainees in Thailand was finally resolved, Solomonic fashion, by Thailand sending 170+ women and children to Istanbul in early July in a little noticed event, and the deportation of 100+ Uyghur men to the PRC last week, which has occasioned much public ballyhoo, some ugly incidents inside Turkey, and toothless (and, I expect somewhat less than wholehearted) official execration by the US and the EU.

A most interesting sidebar to the Thailand story has been the wheels coming off the reckless Turkish passports-to-Uyghurs scheme.
Turkish embassies in Southeast Asia will give them proof of identity,” Tong Bishan, division chief of the Ministry of Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Department, told a small group of foreign reporters in Beijing on Saturday.

“They are obviously Chinese but they will give them identities as Turkish nationals.”
Judging by reports to date, Turkey allegedly provided passports to Uyghurs implicated in the notorious Kunming railway station outrage (33 dead, 100+ wounded). Said Uyghurs, instead of docilely flying to Turkey, surrendering their beautiful Turkish passports, and proceeding to the slums of Kayseri (the town in Turkey designated as the haven for Uyghur refugees), appear to have snuck into Indonesia via Malaysia and attempted to hook up with a notorious Muslim militant on a remote island; a militant, by the way, whose organization reportedly declared its allegiance to ISIS.
China shall just let the dross leave for Turkey for good! The more the better.

The turks had this coming for them they poked their fingers in to many pies
The turks are one of the reasons for the lavent and upper middle east (from lower anatolia to the fertile Crescent) is one huge mess as it is the mideast was a deck of cards arranged by the colonial powers post world war 1 which was based on a strong mesopotamia foundation but now that is gone then this was inevitable but what look forward to with apprehension is to see how this will effect on the lower mideast and the khaleej
