Sharif's insignificant presence in US which is opposite to what PM Modi has managed there seems to have hurt Paki media big time.
They're back to Modi hating, 2002 riots and all that. How creative. :pound:

India clamping down on critics of Modi, activist groups

http://www.dawn.com/news/1209307/india-clamping-down-on-critics-of-modi-activist-groups

NEW DELHI: It takes courage to accuse a powerful politician ─ a man who would go on to become India's prime minister ─ of encouraging riots against a minority.

Police officer Sanjiv Bhatt did just that. And he says he is paying the price for it.

Read: Indian widow fights Modi in "final" court battle over deadly Gujrat riots

Bhatt was arrested months after he filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court in 2011, alleging that Narendra Modi incited anti-Muslim violence that killed more than 1,000 people in the western state of Gujarat.

At the time, Modi was the chief minister of the state, and Bhatt was an officer of the police intelligence.

Then, earlier this year, Bhatt was fired after 27 years on the job for taking more leave than he was allowed.

His dismissal comes amid the stiffest crackdown in decades on critics and activist and aid groups perceived to be undermining India's image and interests.

Since Modi took office last year, more than 9,000 humanitarian and human rights groups have lost their registration to receive foreign funding, effectively shutting many down, and dozens of activists have been threatened with arrest.

Not a single headline in US newspaper regarding modi's visit and you people brag about your new found friendship with USA. Keep dreaming, conspiring and hating but the truth is all to be seen, Pakistan standing firm and looking onto a bright future ahead.

Can you please share what PM Sharif has managed during this visit asyou claim Pak has a bright future ahead?

(IMF loans or complaining about India/Loc/Kashmir doesn't count, share the dveelopmental deals that he has secured for Pak).

BTW, here is what Indian PM did during this visit, headlines or no headlines :

5 key announcements by US tech titans during Modi’s Silicon Valley visit

http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/09/27/us-usa-india-modi-idUSKCN0RQ05120150927

San Jose: Google will soon help India set up base for free Wi-Fi at 500 railway stations while Microsoft will take low-cost broadband technology to some five lakh villages across the country as part of five key announcements made during the meeting the US top tech titans had with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As the who’s who from the tech world gave a ringing endorsement to the ambitious ‘Digital India’ programme, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said it will announce cloud computing systems from data centres in India next week, calling it a “big milestone”.

“We are expanding our public Wi-Fi hotspots. For example, we want to ensure that free Wi Fi is not only there in airport lounges, but also on our railway platforms. Teaming up with Google, we will cover 500 railway stations in a short time,” Modi told a gathering of Silicon Valley CEOs.

In his remarks, Nadella said Microsoft’s plan is to partner with the Indian government to bring in low-cost broadband connectivity to 500,000 villages in India. “We believe that low-cost broadband connectivity coupled with the scale of cloud computing intelligence that can be harnessed from data can help drive creativity, efficiency and productivity across governments and businesses of all sizes,” the first Indian-American Microsoft CEO said.

This in turn, he argued, would drive more affordable products and services and access to opportunity to all of India. To that end, next week Microsoft would announce availability of its cloud services operating out of India’s data centers. “This is a big milestone,” he said.

Stating that in order to push digital literacy forward, it is very important for people to type in their native languages, Google’s CEO Sunder Pichai announced that next month Google would make it possible for people to type in 10 different languages in India, including Gujarati. India-born Pichai said Google is working on many connectivity projects.

In an effort to push Digital India initiative, chipmaker Qualcomm said it will invest $150 million for Indian start-ups in the mobile and internet-of-everything (IoE) ecosystem. “We are committed to providing local innovative start-ups with the support needed to help India’s IOE (Internet of Everything) ecosystem grow, increasing consumer choice and availability,” Qualcomm executive chairman Paul E Jacobs said in his remarks at the dinner hosted in honour of Modi, as he announced a $150 fund to boost start-ups in India.

“We share Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to transform India into a digitally-empowered society and knowledge economy,” Jacobs said. Prime Minister Modi also invited Apple to set up a manufacturing base in India and its CEO Tim Cook responded positively, Indian officials said in New Delhi.

“The Prime Minister (in his meeting with Cook) said he would like Apple to start manufacturing in India. He mentioned the huge opportunities India offered,” ministry of external affairs spokesman Vikas Swarup told reporters. Foxconn, which is Apple’s largest manufacturer, has decided to set up a manufacturing base in India, he noted. PTI

I see alot of misinformation and delusion in this thread. Pakistan is far from what you people think it is. A country looking to a more assured future following the historic zarb-e-azab operation which has almost eradicated terrorism from the country. Yes, we have had our problems with terrorism heck we have had a fair share in training them too, and it can't be denied no matter how much a misinformed blind patriotic Pakistani negates it but the important thing here is our revamped ideology against terrorism which has been transplanted in the nation. This is time to stand up with each other rather than hurling bricks at each other and India can play a role of elder brother in assisting and guiding southern asia through this situation of turmoil but alas, the people of both the countries are drenched in delusion thanks largely to media, politicians and these kind of forums.

Smell some coffee. Bakistan is a failed state/terrorist state. Your Zarb I zarb op is a grand failure. Your Jihadi Army killed 100000s of Innocent people in the name of terrorism. What about LeT and JuD? They are your strategic asset! You are feeding Haqqani Network and your ISI is the full time supplier of Afghan Taliban. Do you think that India will forget all 4 attacks initiated by you? We have already had enough with Pakistan sponsored terrorism in Kashmir/Mumbai and this time you will receive it with compound interest. Stop working like a propaganda mouthpiece on behalf of your Jihadi Army who is showing Zarb I zarba as tool to kill Pushtuns and Balochis who do not want to be part of Bakistan. Many Pakistani members are getting medicine in this forum, hope you do not need it.

You should preach these sermons to people from your country. What you get from the Indians is just a response. Zarb-e-gazab does not count to anything when resolving issues with India, act against LeT and Terror camps in POK, then maybe we can be on talking terms. And stop referring to this region as South Asia, it is the Indian Subcontinent for God's sake.

No doubt about that.

It's just that this recent trend by Pakis to establish false equivalence and show themselves as victims of terrorism just like India is hilarious.

The same Pakis who consider Hafiz Saeed as a social worker while high-five and celebrate the "anti terrorism ops" like zarb-e-burb or whatever the Paki army does to justify their own existence.

Americans won't vote for the Indian Prime Minister, Indians will, and his trip is on the frontpage of every Indian daily.

C'mon Indians you people seem so hyper obsessed with Pakistan. If India believes it can wipe Pakistan off from the face of the earth than why haven't you tried it as of yet even after having an army 6 times the size of ours. Despite that Pakistan is still standing strong and moving ahead. Just ponder a bit on this aspect.

why should india do anything at all, when pakland is in auto destruction mode.
we are having fun watching you guys kill each other. bring it on.
We NEED to do accelerate the fall. I would want us to focus on East once our western border has been secured. It would also put lot of Indian Muslims in coma wanting to make miniature porkistan in India.

We don't need to do anything major, just ensure economic strife.
