Tank was used Twentynine Palms base, it is placed in California on desert, this is why everything looks very hot in thermal image.

I believe you meant stationed in South Korea and not manufactured or assembled in South Korea.

M1A2SEPv2 is currently the most advanced variant, however it's production will end this year and all funds will be redirected for research and development work of ECP upgrade that will eventually lead for even more advanced variant that will eventually be codenamed as M1A3.
