China demonstrated fighter J16 to the press at aircraft factory Shenyang Aircraft Co; it is a copy of Russian Su-30MK2, reports Hong Kong military magazine Kanwa referring to a Chinese authoritative military source.

This airplane is a copy of Russian fighter Su-30MK2, the batch of them was sold to China early in 2000's, reports Interfax citing the source.

According to the magazine, Chinese Navy is quite satisfied with performance characteristics of Su-30MK2 fighter. The military asked the Shenyang aircraft factory to copy that fighter with antiship capabilities adapted for Chinese-made missiles. Basically, the fuselage remained the same as J11BS airplane has, said the source.

The magazine reports that the first batch of 24 fighters J16 had been already constructed.

Since early 2010, Chinese Navy began to receive the first batch of domestically-designed multirole all-weather fighters J10A which significantly increased technological level of Chinese Navy, reports Kanwa.

The Chinese military source told to the magazine that "national air force has not received 'cloned' Su-30MK2 yet. Normally, Chinese Navy gets new fighters first. For example, two-seat fighter bomber JH7 joined Air Force only after commissioning into the Navy".

Chinese navy will use J18- Red Eagle, stealth fighter. The fighter will be used for carrier aircraft use. Is a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, can be said to be China's first such fighters, mainly for the Navy, air force, Marine Corps, motor power, dual vector engine, plus an auxiliary lift engine, twin tail, no duck wing, tailless, in stealthy and aerodynamic has good combination. Combat radius of 2200 kilometers, have advanced cockpit system, active gas system. J18fighter has excellent supersonic cruise capability, its main drawback is too precise, complicated maintenance performance, according to the task can be divided into different manned and unmanned mode, it may be the last one manned fighter. J-18China fourth generation air superiority fighter. The forward-swept wing design of the Chinese fourth generation air superiority fighter

J18 only exists in Japanese fantasy world. J16 has been inducted in PLAAF(not PLANAF) in small patch, but according to some inner source who had spot the plane, it's a wierd variation of Su27 family. They said anybody who spot the plane wouldn't say the joke it was a copy of Su30mk2. But I don't have much confidence in Shenkhoi, so let time justify this mess.

Once there was a new kind of plane, it has always been inducted first in PLAAF. JH7 is a special case here, cause the project itself was only financed by PLANAF. The PLAAF thought it an old fashioned plane and had no interest at all. But see what happened after PLANAF inducting JH7 for a while? PLAAF came to pick up the fruit of PLANAF's investment, a little shame on them. It's just a case repeating F4 story in China, thus the article exposed itself how incredible it is by mistaking this kind of basic truth.

China on both arms of disclosure is extremely conservative, mostly foreign media was first disclosed, Chinese Internet occasionally some private information, but has not officially confirmed, J20was at first Chinese netizens to capture photos, recent government in view of network of military enthusiasts had warned, confidentiality requirements

Re: Chinese Navy Commissioned aircraft - J16 is a copy of Russian Figh

One thing we have to agree is china has made good progress in aviation sector , doesn't matter when these 5G fighter platform become operational but a pretty good start if u ask me, many might argue reverse engineering copy cat etc . But fact remains their 5g platform is uder testing

Chinese media publish news after the aircraft makes maiden flight ,

But ADA/HAL & our media jumps before the concept leaves drawing room eg: AMCA, Rustom UAV ( Compating it to predator drone) & LCH ( Aaj tak counted it will take down naxals & terrorist camp across border
