Even with your typical over the top tropes, including comedy in a war like setting and other cutesy tropes; Groundless still has some of the more realistic takes on war, warcrimes, effects of soldiering, geopolitics, ethnic conflicts, racism, etc you'll find in a modern Seinen manga.

I got some criticism about my art from my family. Three were main.

• Dresses that are less, small and too tight almost non existent
• Voluptuous curvaceous and big buxom Body
• Suggestive and enticing gestures?

I was like

• Aren't those dresses beautiful
• That's how they are supposed to be.
• Aren't Onna-tachi made of it?

That's what I thought but couldn't dare to speak.

This when, I have still not started to work on "Drawing Couples"

Have worked on digital shading as such, making improvement at snail pace. Last month due to semester didn't worked anything substantial. I resume working. It's as if I forgot a lot, I need to brush up again.

From family, I meant my siblings and my mom. I wouldn't care to let anyone know that I can draw, alone showing. It's not as severe as sound, they said make whatever u like, just keep that to yourself. There are more variety than enticing women. Make some which can be more viewer friendly.
I want to draw a comedy, action, romantic manga.
Growing my skill takes time.

My family is supportive, but I told about reactions from my friend ( They reacted as if I draw something inappropriate), they said, This was expected because as such and such (That were those criticismss). But they very small part of drawing. All of these work are only from artworks, not the things I am practicing, which has mostly boring things like perspective, composition, shading, hand, feet, dresses, materials, objects.

You should take their critsim seriously.
Japanese sensibilities cannot be applied to India, even tho manga is mainstream the more perverted parts of the manga is still frowned upon by the public.
Your focus should be your own art style and expression. If you choose the perverted part you will end up like a 3rd rate Porn artist, the minority might be loud but you will end up in a niche category which won't let you escape the tag.

@Johny_Baba I think you will more or less agree.

All your art have been about designing a perfectly attractive female character.
You may say this is a practice but there are other ways of practicing character design that isn't perfectly rounded ass and boobs.

How about you learn to draw action dynamics, characters doing some action where a viewer is forced to appreciate the characters expression rather tha its physical appearance.

I'll suggest you start drawing inspiration from a particular manga

You would say you can't draw at this level but that won't help your argument.
There are probably million more artists that draw sexually sugtsive dumb characters and manga plays
So what's your unique selling point?

Try to focus less on skimpy clothes, suggestive features and looks.

You are getting into a trap that probably every artist does.
Don't be a third rate artist, your heading towards one if your don't shift your focus.

You have to be careful, and I agree what @yatharth said about Japanese sensibility with Indian context. A lot of Manga and anime worked there before there were any rules and regulation in Japan.
After the stricter rules enforced during late 90s and early 2000s, most of lewd stuff is not frowned upon and not considered mainstream.

Use your senses and don't reveal everything to everyone.
