better to get the real picture than the fake ego satisfying statements hiding deceptionVery interesting, it looks like West views R&AW as a serious challenger, atleast in future.
How Five Eyes Bloc is trying to defang India’s counter-terror & intel apparatus
Five Eyes intelligence has decided to take on Indian intelligence for getting too big for its boots and are leaking source intelligence to leftist media.www.hindustantimes.com
Testament of how much we've grown and how much potential we have!
and the green steel that they want to impose tariffs on, it's green only if their I.Ps are used.EU g7 is weaponising diamond and carbon tax to hit India.
Both this and sishir Gupta article are similar to what har sud ji writes.
Anyway certification should be done in India itself or as a compromise 50/50
Buddha has gone full retard! His braincells have stopped functioning altogether.
Baniya wins, cost will be passed on , but the capex required will be huge , even domestic prices will be effected.and the green steel that they want to impose tariffs on, it's green only if their I.Ps are used.
ultimately after the initial disruption to supply chain cycle gets stabilised, the extra cost is transferred to eu customers anyways.
let's see how this plays out...

Xi's trip to Europe may lay bare West's divisions over China strategy
India developing taxonomy for green steel amid global ambiguity: Neha Verma,Baniya wins, cost will be passed on , but the capex required will be huge , even domestic prices will be effected.
It is not black and white. Imposing carbon taxes would result in costlier inputs that would in turn render their industry uncompetitive (the proposed tariffs are to be applied on 6 polluting sectors only; the secondary/tertiary sectors are exempt). And I am not even getting into the outcome (almost an inevitability) where the non EU nations retaliate with tit-for-tat duties. The likes of Brazil, South Africa, prc, India and ASEAN have threatened already - that's a massive bloc; larger than the EU itself.and the green steel that they want to impose tariffs on, it's green only if their I.Ps are used.

It's aimed at India too.It is not black and white. Truth be told, their carbon taxes are aimed at prc (mostly) as of now; the rest are just collateral damages. Are they willing to kiss the chinese market goodbye? And as the above cited article indicates, there is still no consensus over their china strategy.
We are far from getting done here is all I would say.
Not yet. Their CBAM regime will have very very minimal impact on our Aluminium sector. Only iron ore and steel will face some impact but there are exporters who would be facing even bigger setbacks (chinkus, Brazil etc). And costly steel renders their secondary/tertiary products uncompetitive. It's aimed at India too.
In terms of policy we are clubbed with Russia and China
and we don’t make china upset as well. One thing is for sure. Indian growth can’t be export led. we need to make sure our exports are diverse and a smaller portion of our total gdp. Along with that we need to somehow take a lead on technology. A lot of rethinking is required. Why India Must Learn To Suck It Up With Uncle Sam For 10 More Years
The best strategy for India is to not confront the US as often as possible, and wait till we become a $10 trillion economy, when Uncle Sam will have little room to make a full-time enemy out of us.swarajyamag.com
Article with full "Don't make China upset" vibes, except it is not China this time.
It won't be, don't worry, for manufacturing, a one-party state ruling over 1 billion labourers is a once in a blue moon occurence that has now passed.and we don’t make china upset as well. Chinkus are also a winner, they get Russian natural resources for dirt cheap.Who benefits from Current War in Ukraine
The only beneficiary of this war with US sinking in $60 billion now and $40 billion in previous two years, is the military - industrial complex in US. It is them, that all the money is handed over to make guns and ammunition to be used Ukraine. They are showing huge profits. It is unlikely that benefits will flow elsewhere. Hence the beneficiaries are American companies.
The losers are the Ukrainian people who have lost 200,000 people and turned their country into a Stone Age landscape. Also losers are the Russians living in the Eastern part of Russia who are under intense bombing campaign. The Russian economy under intense pressure of sanctions will survive as they have oil to export.
If the war continues as the American wish it to continue then it will impact the American election due in November. If the other candidate wins and eject the Democrats, then war will come to an end in some sort of an armistice. That will not benefit the Americans but impact the other European countries whose economies are under stress due to war.
And no war, no fight situation does not benefit anybody.
Hence, what did the Americans achieve?
Truthfully, nothing. Rather, their superpower prestige will be considerably reduced. Chinese will gain the most. They were searching for opportunities like this to dominate or if not dominate then reduce American influence. Still economically, they may not come ahead as China is dependent on exports and America is their biggest customer, yet they will gain influence, which is worth more than the economics.
Cheers, America. You lost a lot of prestige and money in the Ukraine war and gained nothing.
