Tu-16's combat radius is 1,800km.

H-6 is a clone with improved engines, you don't get a 100% increase in range with slight engine upgrade. Sorry, try again...
H6K is much improved than orgianl Tu16. its combat radius range is thought to be 3000KM+ now. CJ10's strike range is 2500,so, H6K+CJ10 in fact is a trans-continent strike force now.

what good would these missile do if USA were to give an OHIO class sub to Taiwan or Japan?? It would reduce everything on the Chinese seaboard to dust, including your stooges in North Korea.
Taiwan confirmed will not buy USA sub.

Japan is not our inevitab enemy, NK is not controlled by China.

If I say SKorea ship was sinked by US submarine, do you believe?
If you don't believe, just remember this statement, maybe many years later it will be declassified.

Russia did a test about supersonic speed sub, I heard China did such test as well.
well a lot of accidents have happened in the past and they can happen again.

US accidentally sent nuke fuses to Taiwan

The Pentagon has admitted it mistakenly sent Taiwan four fuses used to trigger nuclear warheads on ballistic missiles in late 2006 and only discovered the mistake last week.

The fuses were recovered on Monday from Taiwan, where they were believed to have been held in storage after being mistakenly shipped as helicopter batteries from a Defence Department logistics facility in the United States, senior Pentagon officials said.

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has ordered an investigation into the incident and a comprehensive review of the US inventory of all nuclear-related components as well as of policies and procedures, senior officials said.

"We'll do a thorough investigation, and those who are responsible will be held accountable. The secretary is quite forceful on this," said Ryan Henry, principal deputy undersecretary of defense for policy.

It was the second major nuclear security breach uncovered in just over six months, following the mistaken transfer of nuclear-armed cruise missiles from one US base to another aboard a B-52 bomber in September.

Investigators will seek to determine whether the fuses and nose cone assemblies in which they were housed were tampered with, as well as how the error occurred and who was responsible.

China was notified of the shipment, Mr Henry said.

"Our policy on Taiwan arm sales have not changed. This specific incident was an error in process only and is not indicative of our policies, which remain unchanged," he said.

Taiwan is not stupid, maybe it has few nuclear, but China can bomb the island to sea bottom.

So both side don't want a nuclear war.

H-6 is the same as Tu-16 in all that matters to flight performance, H-6K has an improved engine delivered from Russia. Engine improvements usually translate to a 10% increase in range. That will place it with a 2000km+ combat radius, nothing more. CJ-10 is the Kh-55 clone that they manufactured from Ukraine which has a range of 2,500km when air launched. I highly doubt they engineered it perfectly and it has different ranges when air launched vs ground launched. Chinese turbofan technology is pretty bad so that has to be taken into account when determining range. 1000-1800km is more realistic.

H6K+CJ10 can easily lauch precise strike at Guam,Indonisia,Iraq and Maldives, let lone Japan.
CJ-10 is copy of Kh-55 from USSR. It does not have PGM capability. It is used to launch nuclear warheads with a poor CEP. You can nuke Guam, Japan... that is about all. Certainly not Iraq, Maldives, Indonesia.

Yankee's 7th fleet has been in the backyard for 40 years and nothing happens.

In fact, if Cuba were to have nukes, nothing would happen too, just as N.korea now has nukes and the earth go round still.
