Very difficult to cancel on the day of the appointment itself. It may allow you to reschedule for a later date if other appointments are available.
Ya saw the error code on the Arogya Setu app: Cannot cancel ongoing session slot
Need to reschedule it again for later day

Hope you dont fall into the received certificate but not vaccine because AAPiyas have hived off the dose to someone else bucket.. I wish you luck in getting the second dose!
Also when its sorted do let us know how the entire process works. Try canceling your appointment from the COWIN webportal instead of Arogya Setu or Umang.

There is no option in Cowin to cancel the slot.

Meanwhile, the Chinese bat munchers were lecturing India on how to contain the Delta Variant of Chinese Virus like how they are trying to control the Guangzhou clusters.

The measures the Guangdong authority is taking are also stricter than those implemented during the Xinfadi epidemic. This can serve as a guide for India to control the variant, as the current low transmission of the variant in Guangzhou communities shows that India can put the transmission of the variant under control quickly as long as they take measures as strict as Guangzhou, Yang noted.

But but but the reality is the situation is out of hand and the delta Variant is spreading faster in many Chinese cities beyond their imagination. The virus has outsmarted the Chinese overconfidence. They acknowledge now how all advanced technology is just a propaganda and it failed:

With the most advanced technology and facilities, the most efficient governance system and the most abundant supply of essential medical supplies, that the most developed region of the country has not yet cut the transmission chains of the virus over more than half a month — a period of time during which the previous outbreaks in Dalian, Beijing and other Chinese cities were subdued — speaks volumes about the urgency of the situation.

The de facto lockdown Guangzhou enforced from Monday signals that the normalization of epidemic prevention and control work at home is entering a new phase. That should ring the alarm bell for local governments that they must always be in a battle-ready state

Not just indemnity, Pfizer wants disputes over vaccine supply under jurisdiction of US courts only, Indian govt in dilemma

The report stated that there are chances that the government may accept the indemnity clause, but the biggest hurdle is shifting the legal jurisdiction from India to the United States. The official quoted by Economic Times said that such a move will not be accepted by the Parliament.

fizer demands indemnity, won’t transfer technology for local production

Last month, Pfizer had informed that it had no plans to start production in the country. The pharmaceutical company said that it was not in talks with Indian authorities regarding production or technology transfer. As such, Pfizer jabs, if used in India, would be imported from its manufacturing sites in Europe and the United States. This would probably result in higher price of the vaccine in India, due to shipping costs and higher cost of manufacturing in the US and Europe compared to India.

Wouldn't be surprised if negotiations between Babudom and Pfizer keep continuing long after every Indian citizen has had his/her second dose.

Modi's address to the nation at 5 PM, ie, in about 20 minutes. Not expecting anything ground breaking.

Mostly will be nothing but stuff about how to not let our guard down, COVID abhi khatam nahi hua , Jaan bhi, Jahan Bhi, and some statistics.
Humne DhotiShiver nahi karna hai.
