Hot Air or Substance?

This is coming from that Government who delivered the famous dialogue, "Koi nahi ghusa hai"

Knowing lefties / Chinese tactics of warfare,

I will advise against a open chest war and in the face comments which does no good. We are seeing what's happening in Brazil. They r already replicating trump experiment here and we have too many jai chanda who sold their panties off already and waiting for shrill to begin & punce of current dispensation.
.

Instead, I would advise classic chanakya neeti... Last 2 remaining now... Hit then where it hurts most and in a way that they cud not even blame despite knowing fully who hit them. Chest thumping can wait....

Who serenaded the troops after they conducted the Tiananmen Square Massacre? Madam Peng Liyuan, current @WHO goodwill ambassador, retired PLA general, and second wife of Xi Jinping.

This is what I mean..

This time bound investigation does raise eye brows but he won, t be able to give clean up entirely. He will need a bargaining chip to keep tabs on his masters... If he gives a clean chit than ccp will be more assertative and brash in their actions...

Ultimately, Biden need to look at domestic audience also where majority thinks Wuhan virus was a lab leak..

Point is who becomes the scapegoat in all this.... Some body needs to be there.....
fauci and his colleagues who were involved in Wuhan lab will be the scapegoat.

If there is another wave in US, fauci & co. will be sent to gallows ahead of schedule.

Hundreds of bodies of covid-19 victims are still in New York’s refrigerated trucks more than a year into the pandemic

And they gloat about Indian funeral pyres. :hehe:
they gloat over India funeral pyres to misdirect their public’s attention from their own failures.

they are using fundamental human weakness that people are “happy” when they realise someone else handled the situation even badly than themselves.

80% of cases in Bangladesh of B.1.617 Delta Variant. Samples collected from every corner of Bangladesh. The sample is good representative of the spread.

Genomic sequence of 80% of the samples tested in mid-May have matched the variant

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has found evidence of community transmission of the Indian variant, lately named as Delta variant by World Health Organization (WHO), in the country.

The IEDCR along with an NGO foundation and Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiatives (ideSHi) conducted genome sequencing of 50 samples collected from Covid patients after May 16.

Of the 50 samples, 80% of them (40 samples) were carrying Indian variant while 16% of them were carrying Beta or South African variant, says the government’s disease control agency.

Only the sub-group (B.1.617.2) of the Indian double mutant variant is detected in the country.

On May 16, the IEDCR said it has identified six cases where the Covid patients were carrying the variants. With the latest detection the number stands at 46. The agency first identified the variant in the country on May 8.

Out of 16 samples collected from Chapainawabganj, 15 were Indian variant, and all seven samples from Gopalganj were found to be the same variant, according to IEDCR.

All three samples collected from Khulna and two out of four samples collected from Dhaka were carrying the variant.

People from all age groups found to be infected with the Indian variant.

These countries test pathetically low. 18K tests a day. India conducts 2 million tests a day. With 7 times the population we test 20 times more adjusted to population.

As many as 18,151 samples, including some pending ones, were tested at 509 authorized labs — government and private — across the country and 1,887 new patients were confirmed.

“Covid-19 in Children: Threats & Precautions”

Posted On: 05 JUN 2021 12:38PM by PIB Delhi

CSIR’s new entity, the CSIR-National Institute of Science communication and Policy Research (NIScPR)), New Delhi, organized a half-day online session on COVID-19 in children yesterday (04 June 2021). The session was focused on the recent second wave outbreak and the impact of COVID-19 on children, threats and necessary protocols required for the safety of children. The Chief Guest of the webinar was Dr. V. Vijayalakshmi; Additional Commissioner (Academics), KVS (HQ), New Delhi and the Guest speaker was Prof. Dr. R. Somasekar, Professor of Pediatrics, Sree Balaji Medical College & Hosptial (SBMCH), Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Executive Board Member 2021, Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP). The program was attended by about 150 delegates including several dignitaries, faculty members, researchers and scientists, and students from various schools through the link made available on Face Book by CSIR-NIScPR.

Dr. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director CSIR-NIScPR, in her introductory remarks highlighted the incredible bonding between two great institutions, the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and the institute with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) in the form of JIGYASA, a student-scientist connect initiative kick-started in mid-2017, with the purpose of inculcating ‘Scientific Temper’ among school students and make them science oriented”. Further, she added that the ‘JIGYASA’ has indeed created a commendable impact not only among the students, but also enthusiasm among the scientists as well. She said ‘JIGYASA’ provides opportunity for students to interact with the scientists directly and thereby motivates the young minds for innovative thinking and approach. In the long run, it is expected to deliver impressive results, especially in terms of S&T developments beneficial to the society.

Dr. V. Vijayalakshmi, Additional Commissioner (Academics), KVS, in her address, stated that the JIGYASA is like a dream coming true for the students as it provides a platform to interact with the scientists and also witness their work closely. This association has been quite successful for their institution as the students are excited about the various types of engagements that it ensures all through the year. Dr Vijayalakshmi said that the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic has affected every sphere of our lives, most importantly social life, and passively affected the children’s psyche denying them their right to play, be it with their peers, apart from their studies. She recollected how our teachers became IT-savvy technocrats overnight to cope up with pressure of educating the children.

Prof. R. Somasekar, the Professor of Pediatrics from SBMCH, Chennai and EB Member, IAP, delivered a comprehensive keynote address “Covid-19 in Children: Threats & Precautions” covering minute details on the subject. He said Covid-19 in children is still moderate. Though children are vulnerable to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, still the majority of them are asymptomatic and only 1-2% had to go for hospitalization. Dr Somasekar cautioned the parents about the chances of transmission of infection from adults, and the increasing gastrointestinal symptoms among children these days. He explained how to identify and differentiate the covid-19 symptoms from other flu and common cold. Dr. Somasekar said that the covid-19 has so far not affected children much in India but for the state Karnataka, and discussed various Covid-19 treatment options for children. Taking the session forward he suggested some measures to adopt in our day-to-day life: physical exercise, playing with kids, avoiding junk food, good sleep, wearing masks, balanced diet, and age-appropriate vaccination. Most importantly, he advised a close watch for symptoms and change in kid’s behaviour.

Dr. Y. Madhavi, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-NIScPR, moderated the discussion and summed up the concluding session. Shri R.S Jayasomu, Chief-Scientist, CSIR-NIScPR, proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. NK Prasanna, Scientist, CSIR-NIScPR played a vital role in organizing the event successfully. The entire staff of CSIR-NIScPR played an active role in the outreach of the programme.

Green tea might help tackle COVID: Indian-origin researcher

As India continues to be ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic, a team of researchers is investigating how green tea could give rise to a drug capable of tackling Covid-19.

The initial findings suggested that one of the compounds in green tea could combat the coronavirus behind Covid-19, said lead author Suresh Mohankumar, who researched during his time at JSS College of Pharmacy in Ooty before taking up his current role at Swansea University Medical School.

now people are gonna binge on Green Tea!

Anyway its a research in progress. Lets hope it brings another angle to save the world of this pandemic

Possible that ccp released it whr there was level 4 facility doing research on same virus . So that It ll look like a lab leak . Then lock down city while allowing international travel .. Then layered the lab leak theory with wet market theory and protect it ... And then when infos comes out investigators ll go as far as lab leak theory and go back ... Its a good psychological game they played if indeed it was intentional ... Layering of truth works like gold ...

Deception is always a chinese toool
china is hiding behind the "MUTANT version" deception now.
china will release potent mutants from time to time in target countries whom it wants to hurt economically.
election campaigns and around elections are prime grounds for it. This way they hurt democracy and hijack elections...even target potential candidates with potent variants.

What is COVID-19 among children, its prevention and management?--India Science Wire
By India Science Wire

6-8 minutes

Thousands of children, in all age groups, from across the country have been tested positive for Covid-19, during the second wave, creating panic among parents. The experts say that though most children develop mild disease, there is a need to keep them protected from getting infection. Dr. Narendra Kumar Arora, a paediatric gastroenterologist and a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force tells how to treat and care for children who have contracted Covid-19. Excerpts:

Question 1:
Recently, a lot of States have reported an increase in the number of children tested positive for Covid-19. Do you think more children are being infected in the second wave of the disease?

Answer:
Children are as susceptible to catching the Covid-19 infection as adults and according to our latest national sero-survey also, 25 percent of children surveyed were found to be affected by Covid-19. Even children below 10 years were also found to be as infected as other age groups. National data on the disease tells us that around 3-4 percent of children were symptomatic during the first wave of Covid-19 and this percentage remains the same during the second wave also. However, since the total number of cases has gone up, it has affected more number of children this time.

Question 2:
Are more children developing severe disease this time?

Answer:
A vast majority of children either remain asymptomatic or develop a mild disease. In a household, if several adults are diagnosed with COVID 19 infection, there is a high possibility that the children will also be infected. Fortunately, in most such cases, the children particularly those below 10 years are usually asymptomatic or have mild, common cold like symptoms, or diarrhoea.

However, children with congenital heart disease, diabetes, asthma, or those suffering from childhood cancers, or on immune-suppressants are at a higher risk of developing severe disease.

The parents should watch COVID sick children closely. Many of the serious complications in children occur in or after 2nd week of acquiring the infection.

Overall, there is no evidence that children have special predilection of developing COVID 19 disease during this wave as well. Due to larger number of persons getting infected, the absolute number of affected children has also increased.

Question 3:
How is the treatment for children different from that for adults?

Answer:
We don’t recommend any medicine for asymptomatic children. In mild cases, but prescribe simple paracetamol to manage fever and other mild symptoms. Similarly, diarrhoea is managed with oral rehydration fluids and plenty of fluid. In moderate to severe cases, the treatment is the same as that for adults.

Immediately consult a doctor if you observe respiratory distress, increased respiratory rate, severe cough that is interfering with feeding, hypoxia, uncontrolled fever, or any other unusual symptoms like skin rash, excessive sleepiness in children.

There are cases of Long Covid-19 in children as well, in which a patient develops a new disease such as diabetes, hypertension even after the 3-6 months of recovery. The parents should be in touch with their doctor for follow up of children who have recovered from acute COVID illness.

Question 4:
If a child is affected by Covid-19 but parents are not, how to take care of the child? What precautions should the caregiver take to protect oneself from catching the infection?

Answer:
This can happen if the child has contracted the infection from someone outside the family. So, firstly, each member of the family should get oneself tested for Covid-19. The caregiver should wear full protection gear—double masks, face shield, gloves—while nursing the child. Care should be provided under the guidance and supervision of a doctor. The caregiver and the child should isolate themselves from the rest of the family.

Question 5:
We have also seen cases of new mothers contracting the disease. In such cases, how should she protect her child from getting the infection?

Answer:
In such cases any person who is not COVID positive should nurse the child. However, a lactating mother should extract her milk and feed the child. If there is no one else to take care of the child, the mother should wear a double mask and face shield, wash her hands and sanitise her surroundings regularly. Mother’s milk is important for the child’s proper growth and development. The milk of an infected mother has antibodies against coronavirus.

Question 6:
Adults are advised to follow COVID-Appropriate Behaviour to keep them protected from catching Covid-19 infection. How can we protect the children?

Answer:
Well, older kids can follow Covid- Appropriate Behavior to protect themselves.

We do not recommend mask in children below 2 years. In fact, we have observed it is difficult to make children between 2 to 5 years wear masks. So, it is advisable to keep them indoors. But don’t forget to engage them in playful and physical activities as the first five years are crucial for a child’s mental and physical development.

Every family member who is above 18 years of age should get vaccinated. If adults are protected, our children too remain protected.

Vaccines have been found safe for lactating mothers. So, they too should take the vaccine.

If only trump had won, story would have been a lot different.
CCP gifted presidency to democrats on a platter using the virus, that too by bucking the traditional two term presidency.
CCP will extract their pound of flesh from democrats.
