Beijing, Aug 10 (PTI) China on Tuesday reported over 180 coronavirus cases, including 108 locally-transmitted infections, the highest single-day rise since the current outbreak began last month amidst a growing concern over the spread of the more virulent Delta variant.

The National Health Commission (NMC) said in its daily report that the country reported 108 locally-transmitted cases, 35 imported and 38 asymptomatic infections on Monday.

The new wave of infections spread after a cluster of cases reported in Nanjing airport and later at Zhangjiajie, a tourist destination in China''s south Hunan province last month.

Easy way to get medical degrees. Still you have to give exam in Indian on coming back.
Not worth it in my opinion but for many people having degree is more important.

iSERA Biological said the company might able to deliver the drug at a tenth of the cost charged by the alternative antibody cocktail developed by pharma major Roche by the end of this year

There is a little-known drug developing company called iSERA Biological Pvt Ltd that is making big waves lately. The bioscience company which is based near Kolhapur, in Pune Maharashtra, is testing a new drug that is gunning to be the first Indian-made Covid-19 cure. While this may sound like an extravagant statement, the iSERA Biological is making significant headway with this project. The drug that it is developing could potentially be used to cure and treat mild to moderate Covid-19 infections in patients. The drug has come so far that the company is now moving to human trials with the aim of possibly having it available for the masses by the end of the year.

Facebook removes Russia network spreading fake news in India | India News - Times of India
NEW DELHI: Facebook said that it has removed a Russiabased network from its platform for spreading misinformation in India, Latin America and the US about coronavirus vaccines and their usage.
The network was found to have put out posts that falsely asserted that the AstraZeneca vaccine would turn people into chimpanzees and that the Pfizer vaccine had a much higher casualty rate than other vaccines, the company said.
The network violated Facebook’s foreign interference policies, the company said, while tracing the activity to a marketing firm operating from Russia, Fazze, which is a subsidiary of AdNow, a company registered in Britain.
