Israel was mostly Pfizer, so is this an indication that mRNA won't work well against mutations?

I believe we are much better off with traditional vaccines.

We in India will be cool with his but the US had always been different, operative word being had. Now, they are moving towards a controlled society as any other one.

All this is moving towards a social credit system ala China.

In UK, 35% hospitalized (not just infected) have recieved both doses. 10% have recieved one shot. So that makes 45% of hospitalizations have recieved vaccines.

How are these vaccines effective?

Too many variable factors at play wrt to vaccines... even if it reduces mortality rate by few lakhs, we shud be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!

The question should be : How many of the vaccinated are getting infected and how many of them are requiring hospitalisation and after hospitalisation how many develops serious illness and after illness how many dies.

If this reduces burden on scares and expensive healthcare system, it is worth it. And be able vert catastrophe till 100% effective vaccine or treatment is found.

If not we humans are screwed, till human race becomes immune to chinese virus.

P.S. Further Question must be the infected got what vaccine in proportion to the ratio of vaccine administered to the population. i.e. in case of UK ratio of Pfizer & Astra Zanica.

I don't see the breakdown by type of vaccine, nor do I expect that data will be published, considering the likely finding that mRNA vaccines aren't effective against mutations, since they are essentially gene therapy as compared to traditional vaccines which simply inject dead or deactivated virus in the body and let the natural processes of the human body develop the required anti-bodies.

Ezajktly!!!!!!!

This is the point.

But they cannot hide the results for very long. Because the truth is seeping in from other places which used mRNA vaccines i.e. like Israel, USA and Europe.

It is not known what is holding infaction numbers from UK not skyrockting like in USA other then the factor of AstraZanica.

Germany is mandating for buster shots as they found immunity vanishing for mRNA vaccines.

Foreign nationals are now eligible for Vaccination in India

Passport of Foreign nationals residing in India to be identity document for registration on CoWIN portal

Posted On: 09 AUG 2021 6:36PM by PIB Delhi

In a landmark initiative to ensure safety from COVID-19, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken a decision to allow foreign nationals residing in India to get registered on CoWin portal to take COVID-19 vaccine. They can use their passport as identity document for the purpose of registration on CoWIN portal. Once they are registered on this portal, they will get a slot for vaccination.

A significant number of foreign nationals are living in India, especially in large metropolitan areas. In these areas, the potential of spread of Covid-19 is high due to higher population density. To counter any possibility of such occurrence, it is important to vaccinate all eligible persons.

This initiative will ensure the safety of foreign nationals residing in India. It will also bring down the possibilities of further transfer of infection from unvaccinated persons residing in India. It will also ensure overall safety from further transmission of COVID-19 virus.

The National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme is being implemented across all states and Union Territories since 16th January, 2021. The vaccination programme in its current phase covers all citizens aged 18 years and above. As on 9th August, 2021, India has administered more than 51 crore vaccine doses across the country.

Covid cases in India today: 4% dip in India's weekly Covid cases as NE numbers decline | India News - Times of India
TNN / Updated: Aug 9, 2021, 02:17 IST

2 minutes

Weekly Covid-19 cases in India fell by 4% after having registered a 7.5% spike last week, mainly due to a steep decline in cases in several northeastern states.
India recorded over 2.74 lakh cases during the week ended Sunday (August 2-8), registering a 4.2% decline from the previous week, when the case count was 2.86 lakh. That week (July 26-August 1), fresh cases in the country had risen for the first time in 12 weeks on the back of a 27% surge in Kerala and smaller increases in Karnataka and a few states in the northeast.

Little trust in Chinese vaccines, India set to benefit

decreasing trust in Chinese vaccines, especially in some key South Asian countries.

Sinovac may be a costly option
  • There are ongoing studies of the efficacy rate, but Sinovac may be losing the race to others on both effectiveness and smooth supply chain
  • Sources say Sinovac will also lose out on cost-effectiveness once India-made vaccines priced at around $10 will compete with Chinese offerings at close to $40

$ 40 for saline water?
WTF!

China logs highest single-day locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases since July

Beijing, Aug 10 (PTI) China on Tuesday reported over 180 coronavirus cases, including 108 locally-transmitted infections, the highest single-day rise since the current outbreak began last month amidst a growing concern over the spread of the more virulent Delta variant.

The National Health Commission (NMC) said in its daily report that the country reported 108 locally-transmitted cases, 35 imported and 38 asymptomatic infections on Monday.

The new wave of infections spread after a cluster of cases reported in Nanjing airport and later at Zhangjiajie, a tourist destination in China''s south Hunan province last month.
