Bjp walon ko look gag order lagao year, saale embarrassed feel karra rahe hair.
There is so much good work like Digital Payments, Jan dhan accounts, breaking Visa Mastercard monopoly with Rupay, GST, IBC, Military reforms etc.. that Modi government has done.. and buffoon MPs like Pragya give these statements giving fodder to the liberandus who make BJP look like Gaumutra drinking communal country bumpkins... Atleast elected representatives must not give such statements.. and BJP high command must ensure this..

:hmm: what i still dont understand is how Chinese are getting away , no 2nd,3rd,4th wave , how are they hiding it?
They control statistics collection/collation "production". :troll:
They control Media, even Social Media/Internet.
They can impose any "draconian" measures to contain corona, subtler than Lockdowns.

And above all if they created this virus, surely they have an "antidote" to it also.

DST supported ventilation system to bring relief to health workers sweating in PPE suits for long hours

Posted On: 17 MAY 2021 5:20PM by PIB Delhi

Health workers may soon be relieved of sweating out long hours in heavy suffocating PPE kits to meet their busy duty schedules. A compact, economical ventilation system for PPE kits developed by a Pune based startup can prevent excessive sweating while wearing such kits.

The ventilation system when attached with the conventional PPE kits with one simple modification, keeps the health workers' well ventilated preventing not only bodily discomforts but also possible fungal diseases in the body.

Nihaal Singh Adarsh, an engineering Student from Mumbai along with his startup called Watt Technovations, developed the technology called ‘Cov-Tech Ventilation System’, at RIIDL (Research Innovation Incubation Design Laboratory) supported by the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, in Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

The student of K J Somaiya College of Engineering and the founder of Watt Technovations, received the NIDHI’s PRomoting and Accelerating Young and ASpiring technology entrepreneurs (PRAYAS) grant of Rs 10,00,000 from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for prototype development and product innovation. The startup also received Rs 5,00,000 as support from new venture investment programme jointly conducted by RIIDL & K J Somaiya Institute of Management.

The ‘Cov-Tech Ventilation System’ can be fastened over the waist just like a simple belt over which the traditional PPE is worn and can provide comfort to the doctors and medical practitioners working in the hospitals to treat Covid infected patients. The design of the ventilation system ensures a complete air seal from the PPE kit. It provides a breeze of fresh air to the user in a gap of just 100 seconds.

The product developed at a state-of-the-art prototyping facility at Dassault Systemes in Pune was finalised as per the medical experts' advice.

“A team of mentors and experts from RIIDL supported the startup and helped them at every stage providing a conducive environment to help the innovator give the best output,” said Gaurang Shetty, chief innovation catalyst at RIIDL.

The result was a compact, portable, and user-friendly device to provide a ventilation system for PPE suits. The Covtech Ventilation system is being used in Sai Sneh hospital, Pune and Lotus Multi- Specialty hospital, Pune and the company plans to scale up the uses by May/June.

Anti Covid drug 2-DG launched by Defence Minister and Health Minister

Minister of Defence, Shri Rajnath Singh and Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan today jointly launched the new COVID drug 2-DG at DRDO Bhawan. The anti-COVID-19 therapeutic application of the drug 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) has been developed by Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a lab of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), along with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL), Hyderabad.

One box each of the sachets of the drug was handed over to Dr Randeep Guleria. Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and Lt Gen Shri Sunil Kant of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).

Speaking at the launch Dr Harsh Vardhan remarked that today is a historic day in our fight against COVID and congratulated the scientific community and DRDO for their patience and perseverance for developing first indigenous medicine. He said that the drug has the potential to become a game changer in our response against COVID pandemic as it reduces the dependence of patients on oxygen administration and has the potential of getting absorbed differentially and in a selected manner. In the COVID infected cells, it inhibits virus synthesis and energy production for the process.

Dr Harsh Vardhan further stated that around thirty hospitals were involved in the clinical trials of this drug. He said that the drug will go to the selective cells and prevent synthesis of virus and reduce recovery time.

Expressing his gratitude towards the Defence Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that due to the efforts of Defence Ministry and DRDO, several PSA plants have been successfully installed in Delhi and across the country.

Dr Harsh Vardhan also cautioned against complacency and said that we will win over the war against COVID by collective efforts and by following COVID Appropriate Behaviour.

Secretary Department of Defence R&D and Chairman DRDO Dr G Satheesh Reddy expressed confidence that the anti-COVID drug will help the patients recover from the deadly virus, hoping that DRL, Hyderabad will take it forward and soon make the drug available for the patients.

Joining the event virtually, Chairman, DRL Shri Kallam Satish Reddy said, “Dr. Reddy’s is glad to have partnered with DRDO and INMAS in the development of 2-DG. This is a re-affirmation of our company’s efforts to address COVID through a host of therapeutics and vaccine.”

Shri Rajesh Bhushan, Union Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Dr Sunil Kumar, DG (Health Services), Dr Randeep Guleria, Director, AIIMS New Delhi were present at the launch event. Besides Chairman, DRL, Director, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology Dr Rakesh Mishra and many doctors, hospitals & labs across the country joined the event virtually.

Bleeding and clotting events following COVID vaccination miniscule in India

National AEFI (Adverse Event Following Immunization) Committee submits report to the Union Health Ministry

Posted On: 17 MAY 2021 2:32PM by PIB Delhi

Bleeding and clotting cases following COVID vaccination in India are minuscule and in line with the expected number of diagnoses of these conditions in the country, a report submitted by the National AEFI (Adverse Event Following Immunization) Committee to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare said.

Alerts have been raised in some countries on post-vaccination “embolic and thrombotic events” on 11 March 2021 particularly with AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine [Covishield in India]. A decision was taken to conduct an urgent in-depth analysis of the adverse events (AE) in India in the light of the global concerns.

The National AEFI committee noted that as of 03 April 2021, 75,435,381 vaccine doses had been administered (Covishield – 68,650,819; Covaxin – 6,784,562). Of these, 65,944,106 were first doses and 9,491,275 second dose. Since the COVID-19 vaccination drive was initiated – more than 23,000 adverse events were reported through the CO-WIN platform reported from 684 of the 753 districts of the country. Of these, only 700 cases (@ 9.3 cases /million doses administered) were reported to be serious and severe nature.

The AEFI Committee has completed an in-depth case review of 498 serious and severe events, of which 26 cases have been reported to be potential thromboembolic (formation of a clot in a blood vessel that might also break loose and carried by the blood stream to plug another vessel) events – following the administration of Covishield vaccine – with a reporting rate of 0.61 cases/ million doses.

There were no potential thromboembolic events reported following administration of Covaxin vaccine.

AEFI data in India showed that there is a very miniscule but definitive risk of thromboembolic events. The reporting rate of these events in India is around 0.61/million doses, which is much lower than the 4 cases/million reported by UK’s regulator Medical and Health Regulatory Authority (MHRA). Germany has reported 10 events per million doses.

It is important to know that thromboembolic events keep occurring in general population as background and scientific literature suggests that this risk is almost 70 per cent less in persons of South and South East Asian descent in comparison to those from European descent.

MOHFW is separately issuing advisories to Healthcare Workers and Vaccine Beneficiaries to encourage people to be aware of suspected thromboembolic symptoms occurring within 20 days after receiving any COVID-19 vaccine (particularly Covishield) and report preferably to the health facility where vaccine was administered:

  • breathlessness;
  • pain in chest;
  • pain in limbs/pain on pressing limbs or swelling in limbs (arm or calf);
  • multiple, pinhead size red spots or bruising of skin in an area beyond the injection site;
  • persistent abdominal pain with or without vomiting;
  • seizures in the absence of previous history of seizures with or without vomiting;
  • severe and persistent headache with or without vomiting (in the absence of previous history of migraine or chronic headache);
  • weakness/paralysis of limbs or any particular side or part of the body (including face);
  • persistent vomiting without any obvious reason;
  • blurred vision or pain in eyes or having double vision;
  • change in mental status or having confusion or depressed level of consciousness
  • Any other symptom or health condition which is of concern to the recipient or the family

Covishield, the COVID-19 vaccine, continues to have a definite positive benefit risk profile with tremendous potential to prevent infections and reduce deaths due to COVID-19 across the world and in India. Over 13.4 crore doses of Covishield vaccine have been administered as on 27 April 2021 in India. MoHFW is continuously monitoring the safety of all COVID-19 vaccines and is promoting reporting of suspected adverse events.

It is like these are last remaining slots and about to get booked completely. Most probably some one is already on the next page where you confirm the booking and you might be late when trying to book slot here.

Had a call with an old Colleague from previous project. He is from MP near border to Jhansi, UP.
He and his father got positive 20 days back. He tested negative 2 days back. His father also negative now.
H2 and his father both were registered as HCW for Polio program earlier and still their names were in the list and they had got option to get vaccine early in mid Feb and early March. His father got both doses and he did not get any dose.

His father got well at home only and did not need any special care but he was not that well and needed hospitalization for few days but in the end he got things setup at home only.

So vaccine works! don't hesitate to get it.

Also he told whole villages in the Border area are infected but no one is going for testing even when Govt officials are asking them to. Currently all Mohallas in nearby villages have started to recover. He said there were very very few deaths in his area.

It is because of that bhasadgha***l ramdev.
Why these comments? Have you checked it? I did. It worked. If you have fever problem then take gomutra 15 ml in hot water in morning and evening, within a day you will feel it's effectiveness. Check it first then abuse others. Buy it from imc, sri sri like stores directly. don't purchase it from any farzi store.
