It could, as monsoon reduces mobility.. but, cases were increasing steadily during Monsoon season last year.. But, with lockdown in many states.. cases should decrease.. Also, A legislation should be passed banning all elections, panchayat level to National level, banning all mass gatherings, religious or otherwise, until 70 percent of the population is vaccinated.. and set a hard deadline of December 2022 to achieve this..
on the elections part, let somebody file a PIL in SC.

Kerala seems to be getting pre-monsoon rains, let’s see if this helps in reduction of cases in coming two weeks.
it will not..if this thing is spreading via air than monsoon means better medium for spread..moisture content in air ...

A state with population of 3.5 cr have:
1) 4.25 Lac active cases and 19 lac confirmed cases (More than UP which is 6 times the size)
2) More deaths than Rajasthan (Double the size and poor too). Their per capita death rate might be in top 5 in India.
3) As of today test fatality ratio is 29% more than majority of states of India. So, the claim that there are more cases as Kerala is testing more is clearly fraud.

Commie government is among the worst performers in India, but see the magic of media management.

:hmm: i dun get it ? , kerala is having lower death rate

Look at testing

Maharashtra (66,836 cases); Uttar Pradesh (36,605); Kerala (28,447); Karnataka (26,962) and Delhi (24,311) are the biggest contributors in the daily cases.

UP is 6 times size of Kerala , but look at how much they test. lower test = lower percaptia active cases.

Actual deaths are probably several times higher , all states are hiding it.

No link between 5G technology and spread of COVID-19

It has come to the notice of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications that several misleading messages are being circulated on various social media platforms claiming that the second wave of coronavirus has been caused by the testing of the 5G mobile towers. As per a press statement issued by DoT these messages are false and absolutely not correct. The press statement informs that the general public is hereby informed that there is no link between 5G technology and spread of COVID-19 and they are urged not to be misguided by the false information and rumours spread in this matter. The claims linking the 5G technology with the COVID-19 pandemic are false and have no scientific basis. Moreover, it is informed that the testing of the 5G network has not yet started anywhere in India. Hence, the claim that 5G Trials or networks are causing coronavirus in India is baseless and false.

Mobile towers emit non-ionizing Radio frequencies having very minuscule power and are incapable of causing any kind of damage to living cells including human beings. Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has prescribed norms for exposure limit for the Radio Frequency Field (i.e. Base Station Emissions) which are 10 times more stringent than the safe limits prescribed by International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and recommended by WHO.

Initiatives already taken by DoT:

DoT has a well-structured process so that TSPs strictly adhere to these prescribed norms. However, any citizen having any apprehension about any mobile tower emitting radio waves beyond the safe limit prescribed by the department, a request for EMF measurements/testing can be made on Tarang Sanchar portal at https://tarangsanchar.gov.in/emfportal .

To allay the fear of general public regarding health effects of EMF emission from mobile tower, DoT has been taking several steps to generate awareness among the public about EMF radiation such as Nation-wide Awareness Programme, distribution of pamphlets/ information brochure on various topics related to EMF, publishing detailed information on EMF related issues on the website of DoT, advertisements in newspapers, launch of “Tarang Sanchar” portal etc. The field units of DoT have also been organizing public awareness events so that more and more people are made aware about the scientific facts on health effects of EMF emissions from mobile towers.

Good God!!
I didnt even think Our Indian govt will have to clarify this with a press release. WTF!
We indians shouldnt be like those in the Gringo lands acting super dumb.

@mokoman ji,
Positivity ratio for Kerala is 28.9% while it is 10.1% in UP. So, it is kerala which is doing lower tests.
As yesterday's data, UP did 2.29 Lac tests with 23,175 infections.
Kerala did only 1.23 lac tests with 35,801 infections.

The reference here is about tests PER capita.. Total tests in UP are 2.5 times Kerala.. but population of UP is 7 times Kerala.. Even then, evidence from testing points to the fact that UP has much lower lower per capita infections than Kerala.., although absolute number of infections in UP would be a little more than in Kerala

Indian coronavirus variant found in Thai travelers from Pakistan
Thailand banned travelers from India, other than Thai citizens, starting on May 1 in response to a massive outbreak of Covid-19 cases in the South Asian nation that began in early April.

Health authorities in Thailand said Monday they have confirmed the country’s first cases of the Indian variant of the coronavirus, in a Thai woman and her 4-year-old son who have been in state quarantine since arriving from Pakistan.

The finding comes as Thailand battles a new wave of the coronavirus that began at the beginning of April, originating in upmarket entertainment venues in Bangkok and spawning clusters in several crowded slum communities. Many of the recent cases involve the British variant of the virus, which is more infectious than the original form found last year.

Thailand banned travelers from India, other than Thai citizens, starting on May 1 in response to a massive outbreak of Covid-19 cases in the South Asian nation that began in early April. India has reported more than 22.6 million infections, second only to the United States, and more than 246,000 deaths. Both figures are widely believed to be undercounts.

Thailand extended the entry ban to foreigners visiting from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal on Monday in an effort to keep the Indian variant from spreading, Thai Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tanee Sangrat said.

Apisamai Srirangsan, a deputy spokesperson for the government’s Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said separately that Thai authorities are also worried about people who cross into Thailand illegally, mostly from neighboring Cambodia and Myanmar.

Apisamai said the Indian variant was found in a pregnant 42-year-old woman who arrived on April 24 with three sons. She and her 4-year-old were staying in the same room under state quarantine. The two other sons, ages 6 and 8, stayed in another room and tested negative.

Thailand on Monday announced 1,630 new cases, bringing its confirmed total to 85,005 since the pandemic began. There were 22 new deaths, for a total of 421.

About one-third of the reported cases in the latest wave were found in Bangkok, where daily increases have declined to 565 on Monday from 980 on Sunday and a record 1,112 on Saturday.

New clusters continue to be discovered in Bangkok, not only in crowded communities, but also at markets and department stores.

Other clusters have been found among migrant workers at factories in two provinces near Bangkok.

In the eastern province of Chanthaburi, a gem mining center, nearly 100 cases were found among African gem traders, the newspaper Thai Rath reported, citing the provincial health office. The governor this past weekend ordered the closure of gem and amulets markets, it said.

Regarding the Chinese eating insects and bats, let me explain. In 1960, there was a famine in my hometown. People ate insects and bark, but many people still starved to death. Now we are full, but some people still eat. Insects come to miss that period of suffering

Murmurs about chicoms is growing in sections of Indian media. Looks like our agencies have more evidence of the b.1.617 outbreak being an act of biological warfare.

If this turns out to be a bioweapon, then no god can save the Hans. India is as advanced with biotechnology as Japan is with electronics. We own the biotech/pharma/genetics/mol-bio domains.
