The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked States to impose localised restrictions and implement strict containment measures for at least 14-days to flatten the COVID-19 curve.

In a letter to States on Monday, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla said that considering the “unprecedented surge,” there is an urgent need for States and Union Territories to consider strict COVID management and control measures to bring the situation under control.

“….States and UTs, based on their assessment of the situation, may impose local restrictions at district/sub district and city/ward level, with a view to contain the spread of COVID 19,” the letter stated.

Exactly my point. India is doing best with available work force and resources. This is a very contagious and deadly virus going through its natural course killing thousands in its each wave. It has spared no nation with or without vaccination and with or without oxygen and ventilators.

All those success stories we see in other countries have their own specific reasons which are not comparable to us or anyone. There were countries like SG who were hailed as champions but they too succumbed on second wave and then again came back strongly.

I have never been censorious of our non compliant population because form very first day I knew we can not sustain lockdowns. The blame is collectively on all of us.

When PM Modi got his first jab these were the same people also from foreign outlets who doubted him and spread rumours on our vaccines. We have to up our game and defeat these tools and their toolkits.

Milors asks him why.. he say i was not in order..and i cannot supply without order from hospital.

Milord - U r dealing with hospital for 7 years and now need hospital order . I am ordering take over of ur business and sending you to custody. We will talk once this is over.

SII is not a gormint PSU for SC milaards to ask Gormint, but then again SC is more or less in gormint control, so it could be a pressure tactic on the Parsee to drop prices.

missing link is in yesterday's court proceedings, delhi govt has issued an order that supplier should supply only when there is a written request, because oxygen truck drivers are being called directly by hospitals and supply being diverted.

A friends mom is positive and had SPO2 drop to 75 odd when she uses rest room due to exertion and he was looking for cylinder. Since i worked with volunteers, I reached out to few vendors and they tried to help me via proning et all.. for cylinder.. he said govt have taken over their stock and they cannot give any cylinder to anyone unless govt say...

On one side, u cannot supply and other side u r scutting anyone who is able to supply....

I got to know that someone in the MH Chain of command for vaccine supply is hoarding up the COVISHIELD doses in the run upto the price revision for May1.
Maybe SII itself. They say they have no stock on one hand, and yet have applied to extend expiry dates to 9 months, which they wouldnt need if they werent hoarding.

Maybe time to get ED/Central Agencies to do some gentle testimonial squeezing for Mr. Other Punekar, who may even be doing it at the behest of vasooli. It was back in Nov2020 itself that I had heard from the editorial team staff of a Marathi Newspaper about formation of several shell companies who were controlled by the Pawarfools ostensibly as "logistics and distribution" partners to SII.
