The onus is on presstitutes to prove Govts are under reporting Covid deaths.

Instead of beaming live images/videos from crematoriums, they should dig out death certificates issued by hospitals and eventually municipalities. Now that would be called real 'investigative' journalism instead of doing bhadwagiri on studio/twitter.

From 2015 Modi Govt slashed CSIR Research Budget and told to those CSIR LABs "fund research by yourself"
https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/govt-tells-labs-fund-research-by-yourself/article7811265.ece
Not sure about your agenda, but Modi Govt has increased CSIR budget from 3098 cr to 5,144 cr. Encouraging government labs to collaborate with industry to improve technology dissemination is always a good strategy.

What??

It seems you are looking at something else entirely.

SM right now full of people fuming at govt no matter what the action they take. Day in and day out there is some person asking for a plasma doner sometimes bed or some medicine people are fully into the belief that govt has left them to fend for themselves.

Compare this to the first wave people are now watching their near and dear ones in critical conditions everyone knows someone who was infected.

Even biased articles by NYT get responses like ha suffering porn hoga but are they wrong though.

Today's desicion of lockdown was also received very badly in karnataka as people were once again complaining of no warning or alert.

Govt should hope that people forget about this as time goes and we don't get hit by a third wave though it seems unlikely.

In situations like this where govt is being blamed for things it has no hand on they better hope public forgets about this.

Nobody believes the official case count or deaths being reported by the govt though many belive that the govt is not hiding rather the system is too overloaded to monitor everything.

Even RW subs like India speaks have change their tune over the past month.
There are plenty of people on SM peddling fake sob stories, no way to verify. Besides, SM as has shown is no gauge of the mood of the electorate.

The government was caught unawares as to the extent of this wave and it's speed. Controlling narrative in th context of an adversarial media is extremely tough.

The way for government to drive media is to set the agenda and the story of the day and not react to whatever the nationl or international media throws your way. You dismiss that and out out your own story.

Modi did that successfully in the first term and actually up until the anti-CAA riots. Post that, we got Covid and that has made managing the story very difficult.

Anyways, post May 2, the Covid stories will disappear if BJP loses Bengal as Momta will be the new darling of anti-Modi politics or if BJP wins, it will get further highlighted to try and cover up the political significance of such a win.

The government can't hope that people forget. First, we have to manage this wave best as we can and vaccinate as many as possible, then prepare for an even worse third and fourth waves with health infra, out states on notice if they don't concur and take action against them in full public view.

Then push hard on other agenda that has got side tracked due to Covid.

Remembering, people on SM are not the main voter base of Modi, it's the poor people who benefit from his schemes.

Of course, nationalist moves such as pre-emptive attacks on terror targets always help.

Forget controlling MSM or SM and force them to cover the story you want.

I believe this virus is not going to stay forever.. but for few couple of years more.

Like when most of are vaccinated. Some may have natural immunity .. and over time less load on hospitals and availability of beds and treatment.

This time india need is vaccinating as many people as possible .. do not let this repeat again.. it's better to get it done this year
. No matter how much money we may have to spend.. cut all budget.. everything can wait.. but get all vaccinated and prepare some good facility..

Then people will be relieved and life will get normal.. next election is in 2024 so just let finish this thing this year only...

Get all vaccinated.. compulsory subject on hygiene from school and till graduation..

May be it is a hit job but the question is valid nontheless.
Who owns the IP? Although owning of IP is something different from the right to fix the price. Even the right to commercially name the product.

Although IP is with Oxford/ AstraZeneca but the price fixation for Indian market is with SII. Similarly the commercial name of the product is given by SII and not Oxford and AstraZeneca.

What the author of the above article asks if we can provide a similitude between Covaxin and Covishield and explain is that who between the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca is the owner of the IP of the vaccine.

Although it might be a pertinent question, it probably has no bearing on the pricing, which is the motive/ premise of the above article.
I don't know how much intelligence you have. Covaxin is an entirely indigenous vaccine whose intellectual property is owned by the company. Covishield is LSP of Astra-Zeneca. I would strongly recommend you educate yourself instead of shilling here for whatever benefactor you are in the pocket of.

Past week has made me even more aware of the threat media and SM pose to this country.

That's what the author of the article is disputing. She wants to know the role of ICMR NIV in the development of the vaccine. Whether ICMR is the IP owner or co-owner.
Her line of thought is public money has been invested in developing the product ( via ICMR), it's the G.o.I which should have a say on the pricing of the product.

While I am not disputing her question about IP rights, I am questioning her line of thought that being the IP owner ( if at all) provides the right to fix the price of the product.
"Public money" == Grant money equivalent in the US. The US funds research. The researchers that make discoveries subsequently are entitled to any compensation from it. The working assumption is that these technologies will benefit the US, and as such the government benefits by continuing to support such researchers who make advancements. Private companies get public grants all the time in this country and this is the basic working model. Ridiculous thinking.

If you open Twitter, you will think the world is ending.

Then you step out of a containment zone after 4 long days on testing negative and pass by a chat shop only to find people trying to gulp down their last Aloo Tikki Chat. Faith in humanity restored.

US restricts vaccine raw materials to India but depends on rare ingredient from Mumbai firm
Mumbai headquartered pharma and nutraceutical specialty ingredient maker VAV Lifesciences and its subsidiary VAV Lipids is going to supply highly purified 'synthetic phospholipids' required for vaccine manufacturing in US

Both Pfizer and Moderna mRNA Vaccines are dependent on Raw Material supplied by VAV Life science Mumbai....😊

So may be Ajit Doval may have caught Americans by their BALLS ...🤣🤣😂😂

May be this is the reason .. they now agreed to supply raw material

Pretty Pathetic situation actually.. Just like US f*cked up Huawei's overseas mobile and 5g business, by barring equipment suppliers from exporting to Huawei, it has the capacity to cripple indian vaccine makers as well.. pretty pathetic state of affairs, for a country like India which calls itself biggest vaccine manufacturer..
