Plight of vaccination programme in India; My first hand exp.

So I live in a village and my home is at start of village like at the main entry point. A nurse has been sitting here on the road(concrete) calling people above 45 to getting vaccinated. But it has been more than 3 hrs and still less than 5 people have come.

Imagine a women sitting in open heat in summer but people so dumb that they won't take vaccine. Akhand chutiya bc. They have come with vaccine to your home for free and these bastards wont come out of house.

Same happened about 15 days ago.
Extremely sad. Hope some organization there persuade the people to go.

Our Country is made up of tools. Everyone has their own theory for everything.Well Today morning while coming back from my daily jog I saw a guy who was not wearing mask and was giving sermon 'by wearing masks did it stop spreading' he had an audience. So still there are people questioning the pandemic.
& then blame CM PM local MLA/MP

That recturm should be charged under some biowarfare or NSA clause.

he has a point unless for some reason you have a strong argument against that statement. the price is higher than what even developed nations are procuring the vaccine for

How has turkey got so many cases but no reporting in Pakistan
Haha bhakat

Turkey is abbajaan

When Abbajaan gets disease, he will also develop some natural antibodes against the disease & pass it on to their kids i.e. Pakistanis

Oh my , it's behar .
My nana is 79 years old , was a chemistry professor ,so he is extra conscious of hyegine and diseases.
He vaccinated all of his kids , without any government worker asking him to do so in the 70s .
Now he took the covishield second jab too, but unlike him my nani is 8 pass ,she is 70 years old.
She was hesitant , about vaccines without any reason .
Similar lines like , why should I take the jab, bhagwan ke hath me sabkuch hai etc etc.
My nana got angry, and scolded her to take the vaccine , infact took her to the vaccination centre and since he was angry, my nani didn't dare to day no to him.
She took her jab , only because he scolded her.
Here younger people than him , think daru is cure of every thing and as you said are least concerned about their well own being.

They have managed to create a hysteria and as such people are desperate for anything that's termed vaccines, particularly now with the spike.

I have many doctors in my family and none of them have any confidence in the vaccines, particularly long term effects but the hysteria is such that most won't have a choice.

By next year, you won't be able to travel or go to work or malls without being vaccinated.

This disease has been so beneficial for the pharma companies that it's hard not to subscribe to conspiracy theories.
Vaccine issues is entirely different domain with its own speciality . Its domain of biotechnologists .. bio chemists .. micro biologists etc . Doctors dont have speciality on this . Adeno virus technology is a old technology . And inactivated virus tech is there for a century . Yes m rna is a new one which is used by pfizer .

.Caution: BloobmergQuint
Leave it to quint-qunts to come up with such retarded stats. 5% of an average Uttar Pradesh district is a greater number of people than 5% of an average Kerala district. Obviously this will skew the district-wise picture.

Rather the data should be presented as raw numbers vaccinated per district. Then "most litarded state" will look very different.

I remember some comments yesterday from @Bhumihar i think about vaccinating 1.3 billion people.

was checking demographic data, percentage of population below the age of 18 is around 30-40%. vaccines have not been approved for 18 below yet, so there is time. based on 2011 census.

For now target is around 80 crore, not entire 130 crore.
I had posted something similar a few days ago. Essentially India only needs to vaccinate 70-80% of the 800 million i.e. 600 million to achieve herd immunity. Of these, 110 million have already received at least 1 shot so only 490 million left. The UK has managed to reduce case numbers by 90-95% and deaths by 99% within 10 weeks by vaccinating roughly 60% of its adult population (those over 40) with one dose of mostly AZ vaccine. Though a lockdown has been in place during this period, its far less restrictive or effective compared to March 2020 so most of this is the result of the vaccination campaign.

Imposing a 'lockdown lite' for the next 8 weeks to slow down case numbers whilst vaccinating the remaining 490 million- or even just 70-80% of the over 40s- with one shot of Covishield, which is highly effective at stopping infections and deaths after the first dose, is the only way to control the current wave.

And what is the obsession with marriage functions in India with Indians!

Today got call from our homevillage, one family friends told they have fixed marriage of their daughter and marriage will take place on 15th May. He told: "App sabko family ke sath jarur aana hai!" (You have to come with whole family compulsory!)
My dad replied, "Han kyun nahi!" In his mind: "Pura shehar leta aaunga!"
Yeh sabko shaadi isi corona time hi karni hai kya!

Poonawala said that he is at par at 150 rs ,the price he is selling to the central government. So he hasn't made any profit from govt contract. He has to cover expenses and also make profit. He will sell vaccines at rs 400 to states and @ 600 rs to private hospitals. Now state government's can negotiate and also provide vaccines at subsidised rates to its people. For those who can afford I don't think 600 rs is a big deal, I mean those who want to get it from private hospitals. I don't have a problem with this. Also the prices will decrease as the availability increases.

Pune has been in lockdown or pseudo lockdown for 15 days now. Hasnt done anything to put less strain on any resources, nor is the number of infections going down.
The current numbers remain constant as we are at our absolute limits of testing every day, if it increases the number of positive cases will go up.

This person seems to be making a lot of sense. Rampant CT Scans are driving up infection severity.

In the last wave hardly had anyone do CT Scans, In current wave RT-PCR followed by HRCT is being done around here in 99% of the cases.

It's crazy, this weird obsession of bringing max people to ones wedding and then boasting about it. Few of those marriages that have happened in recent past have caused so many deaths. I personally know of few incidents. But people don't learn.
