India’s Covid graph may peak at 33-35 lakh active cases by May 15: IIT scientists
The ongoing second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India may peak between May 11-15 with 33-35 lakh total active’ cases and decline steeply by the end of May, according to a mathematical module devised by IIT scientists. On Friday, India saw a single-day rise of 3,32,730 (3.32 lakh) COVID-19 infections and 2,263 fatalities with 24,28,616 (24.28 lakh) active cases. In predicting that the active cases would go up by about 10 lakh by mid-May before sliding, scientists from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur and Hyderabad applied the Susceptible, Undetected, Tested (positive), and Removed Approach’ (SUTRA) model.

Do not get support from Germany. France, absolute yes. If UK offers, consider. Russia, absolute yes. Japan, absolute yes. Germany? Absolute no.
#COVID19India | Germany’s Linde and the Tata Group secure 24 oxygen transport tanks for India,
@Parikshitl reports. Further. Germany is partnering with UNICEF to set up cooling chains for India’s vaccination programme.

Most pharma manufacturing equipment at SII and other Indian firms are most probably of German origin. Hence the indignation of the old chancellor of fatherland.

BJP is practically paralyzed until May 2. It took farmer protests on the chin because it didn't want to create a spectacle that affects its prospects in West Bengal. This "India variant" outbreak came in 4 weeks too late. The BJP still stands a strong chance at winning West Bengal. After that, one can expect big changes, beginning with action against turban naxals, and decisions related to COVID, such as punishing the Americans.

America cannot touch China, it's looking for a new punching bag to show its masses that it's still a global-cop. Unfortunately that punching bag is "illiberal" India, nevermind the fact that China and Saudi Arabia are totalitarian states.

India must pull off another "pokhran" like event. By this I don't mean nuclear tests. It has to be a disruptive political decision that shocks India's existing relations with the west, so new ones could be built on our terms.
Nothing will happen after may 2 this is just copium to give because people have run out of excuses. what reasons will you give for lack of arrests in delhi riots case were they also influenced by bengal elections.

Farmers are already marching towards delhi again ghanta anything will happen.

BJP didn't even voice their concerns on the riots that took place in telangana was this also bengal elections.

They haven't regulated media and their minister feels proud of it is this due to bengal also?

SM has been unregulated worse these so called guidelines that the govt threw on our face is as useful as raga is in congress. SM has only grown worse and what is even worse is watching the PM and his party being abused day and night even for things they didn't do only because his cabinet is full of people who have no sense of duty towards this country does this have any connection with bengal.

The OTT laws that came out are just the same even the supreme court called them toothless they were so bad that the director of a tv show which promoted pedos bombay begums or some nonsense had the gall to call the child services of India nallas after they gave a 24 hour warning to pull it down. Nothing happened. Is this also due to bengal.

Twitter shadowbanned an offical army account and nothing happened except badi badi baate. Yaha bhi bengal?

Hindu priests were beaten killed in many places holi festivities destroyed by police under direct control of HM is this also bengal?

I can give a 1000 more instance's which have no connection whatsoever with bengal.

We as citizens must put pressure on this govt to act right and change its ways because their is no hope from the opposition.

Today it's bengal tomorrow UP aise hi chalta rahega while we all feed on copium and delude ourselves as this nation goes down the drain.

Yesterday, i had made a post regarding one incident to highlight Covid-19 carelessness from people.

I will repeat the same along with, some other things i have observed locally.

1

My sister, her husband (working online) & nephew (studying) were at their house. A car comes. Two people march into the house. Close relatives. Said they were returning from a Covid testing center. They then proceeded to visit my sister's in-laws house that was very nearby. The in-laws are 83 & 79 respectively. Now it turns out that one of the person who visited is Covid +

{ My blood was boiling when my sister told me this }

Whom should i hold responsible? CM? PM? local MLA? local MP? Panchayat president?

2

15 days back my laptop had an issue. Took the same to Dell service center at our district HQ. I went on an auto-rickshaw (23 KM travel). Had sanitizes, wore mask & had hand gloves.

Saw lots of people, in bus/cars/vans etc. Absolutely no social distancing. In the shop, the technician wore a mask. While laptop was being repaired, just went out of the shop to "observe". People just wore the mask as a "formality", it was clear from their body language & from the way they talked. Some had "Oh! i am special, this virus cannot hit me" attitude as though they had some king of invisible immune halo around them. Others were like "wtf", spitting on pavements etc. People were standing "shoulder-to-shoulder" in the bus stand.

3

My neighbor just married off his daughter. 4 nights, 4 receptions with group dance, all ceremonies etc.
Now, if some were to get Convid whom should i hold responsible? CM? PM? local MLA? local MP? Panchayat president?

I believe, you all have had seen similar stuff.

I understand that humans are social animals, it's been more than 1 Year since this WuHan curse hit on Humanity. People want to get on with their lives & feel "normal". Jobs lost & people/small business want to make a living. So we cannot blame them entirely as well.

But, times are absolutely NOT NORMAL, as we are seeing.

This fucking thing is mutating & people need to adapt to these circumstances.

Sorry for the long rant.

Today one person came to our office to collect some material. He had kept his mask below mouth area. I asked him to remain at distant and cover his Nose with mask. He started smiling and said 'Arre sir humme kachchu na horo!'
