Wastage has two components to it, one is genuine due to non-availability of 10 instant vaccine takers and other technical reasons, the second one being the diversion to non eligible takers.

With 18+ now eligible ( from 1 May) and open market access through state govt. ; the diversion may reduce a little, provided the pricing difference between govt. supplied and open market vaccine isn't too large.

However we will not need to import any vaccine. Third vaccine is already approved and Dr Reddy is ready to make 250 Million doses of Sputnik for home use. Ironically Sputnik has more efficacy than both CovieShield and Covaxin.

Didn't i envisioned this yesterday when i said GoI wants to call of the bluff of state govts who handling of virus is pathetic and put the entire blame for 2nd wave on vaccination and when they say GoI is regulating the number of vaccines allocated to states and they are running short of vaccines all bluff is now exposed .

As i said state govts which are busy in 100 Cr vasoli a month is going to spend 1000 crore to vaccinate its population answer is : GHANTA

Plus i had today learned about this new story in vaccination drive , I had written here few weeks ago a friend of mine who is 28 year old got vaccinated before leaving to abroad when his fathers employer had arranged for vaccination drive to all its employees . Now how did they do it its very simple when they have 45+ age employees they called the families so that when vials are opened and used for 2 45 + the rest 8 were administered to below 45 age group family members only difference is these people are not issued vaccination certificate .

so today another person has told me when he took his parents for vaccination the same story repeated along with parents he was also given the vaccination . Again same story no certificate issued here too .

Now connect the dots with vaccine wastage we were hearing every day . Most of these vaccine which are declared wastage are getting administered to people below the 45 years age group across the country .

Here comes another twist most of these 1st dose people won't be able to get 2nd dose because you need to show your 1st dose certificate to get your 2nd dose . Mostly all these people will get their 2nd dose after May 1st privately paying for it .

This is where the new rules from May 1st will come into play when GoI will decide allocation based on vaccine wastage .

Aur complete Lockdown Karo.. vaccine ke liye paise Udhav Thackeray ke g*and se nikalo..
