Stop these wasteful exports and divert the jabs to vaccinate our younger population who cannot isolate themselves.
We dont have enough to go around, why else is vaccination not opened up for all.
SC is hearing pleas to vaccinate all legal professionals irrespective of age, which will be highly discriminatory against other citizens.
We are on the cusp of a second wave and atleast now baba must stop preening himself in front of the mirror.

vaccines are a very tricky subject, there is no other vaccine that has been approved so fast in human history. the reason vaccines take years and years in normal circumstances for approval is because they want to sure that there is absolutely no negative side effects in general population.

I agree a radical new tech vax like pfizer's would have taken many years to see the light of day were it not for the current pandemic, but are you suggesting its OK to vaccinate > 60 years and not youngsters due to the 'technical' risk involved? If the risk is acceptable for those >60 seniors, it should be even more acceptable for all other adults, if scientists certify it so.

So i still say, stop exports and use the available jabs to vaccinate our vast working class population, else it's impossible to prevent subsequent waves.

Faulty calculation, for sensational headline.

The second does cannot be given before 28 days or so due to medical reasons. It's not due to limitation of vaccines. For most, it would have been 28 days since they took the first dose.

Also why do you need to vaccinate people below 18 when they are not at risk immediately? That can be a yearly exercise for all those turning adults.

Lastly, this does not factor in ramping up of rate of vaccination. The government websites has reasonable estimates.

The new https://dashboard.cow.gov.in is excellent, now even shows hospitalwise vaccination in your town/city. Till yesterday evening 9 PM though, those in my vicinity had hardly jabbed 19-20 people per site, which means 2nd doses were being given to those who were eligible, and first were not being administered.
The pace of vaccination is *EXTREMELY SLOW* here in Maharashtra, not sure if its a state subject or a central one. 2 of my college friends have their parents admitted to hospitals due to covid after a year of taking care and trying to stay safe.
