New Delhi: China in a startling move plans to use the population of Bangladesh as 'guinea pigs' to conduct Phase III trials of its Covid vaccine.

Well known Chinese firms Sinopharm and National Biotec are eyeing this possibility of human trials to be conducted on 40,000 persons with the help of Communist Party of China, ET has reliably learnt.

While some Western Pharma companies have predatory practices, Chinese companies are now trying to exploit vulnerable populations for their profits. Last month there were reports that China may run the second phase trial of the coronavirus vaccine in Bangladesh. This was announced by Director General (DG) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Abul Kalam Azad.

"The Chinese government may run the second phase human trial of a possible coronavirus vaccine in Bangladesh," he said during a virtual conference with members of Bangladesh Health Reporters Forum last month.

ET has gathered that China is taking advantage of Covid to exploit developing and least developed countries across sectors from pharma to trade. State-run Sinopharm has completed construction of a plant in Wuhan for mass production of a coronavirus vaccine candidate now under development. Eighteen potential vaccines were in clinical trials globally, with seven being developed by Chinese companies, according to the World Health Organization.

They followed up giving the world the Wuhan pandemic, with a premeditated attack on Indian soldiers with nail-studded clubs and beating them to death so badly until the faces could not be identified. And if that is not enough, they send their hackers out to disrupt and destroy IT networks and steal data all around the world.

There are no more illusions in the Western world, and even in SE Asia about what China is all about.
This is the "new normal" when it comes to China !

But, India is slow moving and slow learning country, with a peculiarly lazy intellectual elite class, and government. Maybe India needs to be punched a few more times in the face, before they figure out the China is their lifelong enemy.

Not sure if you are a Indian or not but I agree specially with the red part.

Indians(Hindus) are Dev and others are Rakshas species. In simple Dev are the Angles and Rakshas are Evils in the mythology books. Rakshas are always on the offensive and Dev are reactive and that too after a threshold, rarely they become offensive.

Historically Rakshas push the Dev to fight. Yes, microwave radiation is EM. UV light is also EM. The amount of UV light which reaches the atmosphere in US is higher than other countries because the ozone layer is partially depleted. From June 1 when almost 80 % of country is opened up this is what the numbers we got

June 1-30 : Total Tested 48 lakhs , Confirmed Positive 3.8 lakhs, Recovered 2.4 lakhs , Died 11700

July 1-17 : Total Tested 44 lakhs, Confirmed Positive 4.3 lakhs, Recovered 3 lakhs , Died 8700

If we go by these numbers We had 2 lakh confirmed positive cases in March-May and it just doubled in June and looks like it will see 50% more jump in July

One thing is clear deaths are getting reported as this virus is infectious the handling of covid dead bodies is completely different with too much precaution taken , Just lost a close friend brother and sister in law both in early 30s . Just only 8 people were allowed in cremation ground to burn the bodies .Not even their old parents were allowed to reach the cremation ground .


If we would not have the lockdown then rest assured we would have gone past USA way back in June only

What will reduce the spread going forward solely will be little common sense of people . Wearing mask maximum will reduce the spread as much as possible .

I still see a section of people not wearing mask and wearing it below nose or below chin and talking all these will only keep the spread moving up .

If it can be made in labs on a scale fulfilling the demand like few synthetic plasma products or even some thing which can be given orally then we will be able to overcome this virus.

Whatever I am understanding as of now the vaccination will not be able to suffice the cure and protection of the populations. I hope I am wrong but if vaccinations are not able to give desired effect then focus must be shifted to R&D and industrial scale production of strain specific anti bodies for passive immunisation.
