If there was no Migrant crisis and nijamuddin india wld have been in a much better scenaria.. Situation in india shd never be compared with other countries.. we r a billion population with per capita income one of the lowest in the world.. we r a nation where so many political religious caste based forces acting against each other.. In such utter chaos i believe we have done quiet a good job.. just compare the death rate and cases per million.. just remember the predictions of experts on india before all of it begain .. Any one remember laxminarayan and that usa think tank ? And that CIA report which stated india is least prepared to tackale the covid crisis ..

Dr TP Lahane, the head of Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), issued the order for remdesivir trials. DMER has asked ethics committees of the selected hospital to give approval for initiating the trials.

The Maharashtra government has decided to begin clinical trials of Remdesivir, an antiviral drug with a proven record of efficacy against Covid-19.

The trial will be initiated at all 14 state-run medical colleges and the four colleges run by BMC.

Dr TP Lahane, the head of Directorate of Medical Education and Research, issued the order for remdesivir trials.

DMER has asked ethics committees of the selected hospital to give approval for initiating the trials.

One of the approval is received from some hospitals, the state government will seek permission from the Drug Controller General of India to allow the companies to supply the drug.

The state will procure 3,000 vials and provide it to 18 medical colleges. This will be used only in emergency cases with approval from the family of the patient.

BDR Pharmaceuticals and Hetereo will be providing the drugs for trial without any cost.

Later on, the drug can be procured through a Bangladeshi company, Beximco at $65 per vial.

The state’s Covid-19 taskforce had already urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray last month to find a way to “overcome the bureaucratic hurdles” and give immediate access to the drug for treating patients.

One of my relative in UP had to be rushed out to ICU because he fainted. Later it turned out he had low sodium level. But the time he was admitted in ICU, he was tested for Covid-19, even without request but as SOP. He tested negative but point is Delhi's neighboring UP has no restrictions on testing up until now and these champions of Liberalism and democracy like Kejriwal and Mamta are hiding numbers.

These politicians and elite intellectuals on their payroll has more hollow ideology than Pakistan.
Don't forget KCR from Telangana. Even here it's very difficult to get tested.

Buddy its a fucking shame that its our capital city (the other being our economic capital city, see the irony) that is seeing dead-bodies lying outside hospitals and people lining up in front of electric crematoriums and wood stores to burn up the bodies. Fuck kujli and his minion this sissy-chutia fellow.... what image are we sending out to the world? Politics be damned man. No one sees or cares for motu shah - kujliwal slug fest. Where did the fucking 'capacity-building' nonsense go if it wasn't even done properly in the capital of our country. What hope is there for the interior parts and tier-B/C...Z towns?
Bhai what were we all expecting. A country where the total expenditure on healthcare is less than 4% of GDP is definitely not prepared for a pandemic. Capacity can't be built in few weeks. We are just speaking about beds but what about manpower ?
Screw all the experts because most of them are speaking bullshit without knowing the ground reality. It's time ppl demand healthcare and education along with roti, kapda aur makaan

I never had any hopes from any govt.... corruption starts from peon and goes until infinity .... so we can demand , i don't see any hope in country like Ours .... U r good if u have connections.. and i am talking from personnel experiences so far....

One need to fend for themselves in this pandemic.... If u can help few along ... nice.. else no body can complain...

Agree. Hope all the blind mice around us also realise this.
There is no such thing as corruption free gormints - only those that manage the corrruption better.
UPA's fault was that it let corruption become so open and frequent, and was lax in containing it. BJP pounced on it and benefited.
This gormint is most probably as corrupt as the previous, just that they 'manage' it better. Next gormint, regardless of the ideology, will also be equally corrupt. Corruption and taxes don't go away. Right from chanakya's grand-daddy days this is the practice. They are all in it with their fingers inside the pot for the butter only. there are no saints. only better PR agencies.

All we need to see if the gormint is achieving our core requirements or not, and 'adjust' with all the corruption aspects. As they say, there is no free lunch. You just put up with the negatives to achieve the positives.

are you trying to imply they were doing 'capacity-building' inside the loo as well? ...
otherwise there is no reason for a covid patient to die inside a hospital loo and lie in state for 8 days
:hehe:

(being-macabre intentional)

Our greatest country, where we made chariots fly when rest of world was still on trees, has started doing things mere mortals cannot begin to fathom. Iam only a mere mortal. If higher mortals are in this forum, please explain the meaning of this to poor me.

Coronavirus: Testing levels reducing in many states when positivity rates are up.

Read more at:
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...ofinterest&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=cppst

And the gormint mouthpiece ICMR announces doubling is reducing. If you reduce tests, how can you say doubling is reducing?
