SARS didn't have such a long lasting impact so Medical Society didn't put much effort in research for it's vaccine.

Even in COVID19, IMO, vaccine is not to be seen in near future. There are a few reasons:
1) most of the vaccines being trialed are showing a deadly side effect called 'cytokine burst'. This can lead to respiratory attack and then death. Overcoming this has been the challenge in making the vaccine for any virus from corona family.
2) vaccine effect is not 100% guaranteed in Flus.
3) It takes time for body to develop antibodies, in case of some vaccines.

The world is not giving enough consideration to the fact that Spanish fl came in three waves. What is there is a second wave of COVID19? It will be death of world economy and healthcare systems, if we can't manage the disease by then.

We largely have been discussing the negative impact of chinese virus on india, have we discussed the (not so obvious )positives ?
Me thinks... some points are nuanced.

1) reduction in terror funding for a brief period.
2) reduction in evangelism for a brief period.
3) reduction in JNU noise for a brief period.
4) reduction in libtard funding across the world and india.

China on Monday gave in to mounting international pressure for a probe into the origin of Covid-19 and a review of the World Health Organisation’s response to the pandemic. President Xi Jinping told the World Health Assembly that China had acted with ‘openness, transparency and responsibility’ when the disease, which has impacted billions of people across the world, first broke out.

President Xi, who had been invited to speak at the opening ceremony after the European Union-drafted resolution to push for a probe was supported by more than a 100 countries, said Beijing supported calls for a comprehensive review of the global response but felt this exercise should be carried out after the world gets a grip on the situation. The world’s immediate priority should be saving people.

“China supports the idea of a comprehensive review of the global response to COVID-19 after it is brought under control to sum up experience and address deficiencies,” President Xi told the assembly, the UN global health body’s policy making body.

Note how Xi has deftly inserted the sentence, "China supports the idea of a comprehensive review of the global response to COVID-19 after it is brought under control.

Really? After it is brought under control? A delightfully vague assent! The Chinese virus may take forever to control even partially. So who is to decide at what stage the enquiry can begin? The Chinese of course!

Chinks have only allowed a probe by WHO whom they own ! Unless this probe is conducted by an independent intl‘ agency, it is useless.

How do you know that these Chinese hadn't already produced a vaccine before releasing the virus to screw the world? They are waiting for the virus to take a toll of millions before they declare that they have found a vaccine (which they already have). They will then sell it to the world at exorbitant cost and make a killing. There would be billions of dollars to be made in worldwide sale as well as granting of intellectual property rights to countries to allow them to produce it.

May not be a conspiracy theory after all. This is probably the real deal!

I am sorry to ask but if hydroxychloroquine is not working then why is other countries still importing from india.....

And it it work then why is ICMR not allowing to be used in small to medium serious covid-19 patients

Is it necessary to allow patients own immune system to fight , occupy beds for 15-20 days while other patients

The numbers in India and the rest of the world will be different. Isn't that very much obvious?

The numbers are rising because India has ramped up the number of tests. As of today 24 lakh tests have been done. And India is doing 1 lakh tests per day So, 5k people testing positive for the virus isn't much out of the ordinary.

The percentage of people being effected is still around 5%.

And for those who are saying that India should have deployed armed forces to those people I will say that. The misery of migrant workers and people from lower middle class & lower class are only now at 1%, if armed forces been deployed then their misery would have been increased to 1000%. Police is corrupted, sure but they are dealing with the situation as humanly as possible.
