No. He is trying to keep those infected from infecting 10 others.

You understand the point of Lockdown don't you ? It's to make sure that those infected with Coronavirus don't infect all the people they come in contact with.
It's to isolate them more effectively.

Of course all of this logic doesn't work for those with an agenda.
They only see MUDI MUST RESIGN!

Too much maths

When are we able to go out again safely ??

Fuck you China :rage:
That will take time. Probably when vaccine arrives. Till then we have to be cautions.

And lockdown was never the cure. The reason behind is to limit the virus from spreading which it will do anyway. But to throttle the spread and so that Govt can make time to ramp up our medical facilities.

Please stop with your Pro-Lockdown propaganda.

So what was lockdown supposed to achieve?
1. Flatten the curve; slow down the disease spread - Didn't happen. Cases are increasing since lockdown, albeit linearly.
2. Prepare for the peak - We are now self sufficient in PPE, Masks, RT-PCR test kits and Govt has ordered enough Oxygen cylinders.

You know who this lockdown is affecting the most? Poor people, especially the old and sick. There are thousands of 60+ old and sick who depends on state government pension to be able to afford 2 time food and medicine. Now due to no economic activity, state govts are bankrupt and these old people are on the verge of dying from hunger or disease.

If you want to stay home, STAY HOME. We live in a free country and one can force you or your parents to go out.

The video he is referring to is this,

Just saw bits of it,couldn't go through till the end

I did not watch it, but any accident has a bearing on everyone. Trying to spin it as the result of lockdown is plain evil. Can I guess that the dude trying to spin this is part of opposition/media?

Dear mates,
lock down is to mange the crisis.

it's all about number of sick VS no that can treated.
Once the threshold crosses, death count could shoot up.

Look at france few weeks back, they just decided old people won't be treated, imagine if similar thing happens in India.

This is a totally something new, no one has any proven plans to handle this...

The govt should have suspended international flights a lot earlier than Mar 22nd. If they had done it around Feb 18 to Feb 20th we would have been able to stop the China virus.

Or may be we would have far fewer cases than we have now.

That's how politics works, people spin things as they please. In a democracy we should be expecting such rhetoric.

Being said that, I'm not asking for modi to resign (like in the video)and will vote for him next time.
(I don't necessarily subscribe to his pov)

The issue of contention is,how big (the scale) is the problem is. At this very moment, millions of people are marching down in our county's roads.
Exposed to the dangers of both man made and natures device.

Just see this,

When this kid grows up how do you think he'll perceive our society.

Ok,for the sake of argument, lets say government isn't responsible for this crisis.

Then why hasn't they intervened and come to their rescue?

Just because the crisis wasn't created by the government it doesn't mean they have to abstain from the crisis.

At the end of the day. Public isn't fool. And now these days its even has extra pair of ears and eyes.

Was the lockdown a show? Yeah, probably. But was it necessary?? In a country like India, Ofcourse!!!

Was the first lockdown enough? No but relaxations would have been done if not "Tabligi Jamaat".

Govt is providing train & buses. Then why the migrants are walking? All know who is provoking them & making them fearful.

I believe the new cases are results of infection occurred during early lockdown and are results of improper social distancing.

Home lock increases your chances of survival, but if you follow improper social distancing you might become a carrier :playball: for e.g. I just came back from a medical store and washed my hands, still afraid of touching the medicines :scared2:

Dude this city is fucked. I am moving my family to farm house as early as possible.

I am convinced big cities are menace. There doesn't seem like any cure any time soon. Govt is also clueless.

Jaan hai toh jahaan hai !
One of my friends moved to a village some 20 days ago and enjoying there with family. He went out at 3:00AM with his wife and kid and drove his car directly to his sister's house.

Yep. These cases should not happen. We should evolve as a society to go above these. In our current condition, these will continue to happen.

I always put such comments to my ignore list - ones not backed by any fact. Blanket statements such as these serve no purpose IMO other than sensationalizing an issue. Without data to back up these claims, how does one believe that the economy is really down in the docks?
I can also form my own opinion to the contrary that the economy is running great in spite of the COVID lockdown. I see food in people's plates, my family and relatives are safe and haven't been fired, getting their salaries on time, hospitals haven't been overwhelmed yet, PPE etc. production have been ramped up.

Yes, I know there is a migrant crisis. But are we absolutely sure it wouldn't have occurred if the economy had continued to run normally? In US, meat factories had to close several times when workers started getting infected and infecting others, leading to indefinite closures of many of the plants. Think about the scenario, if 1 or 2 folks in one office had got infected and they had to stop operations of the entire unit and quarantine all folks for 14 days. Won't that be a real hit to the business or economy?

We Indians are opinionated about everything (which is not bad always), but shoved up with a requirement to plan something, we scurry like headless chicken. Right now, everyone has an opinion but no one seems to have a PLAN (how to end the lockdown, how to safely open up, how to save the economy in distress etc.)

That linear curve would be exponential if there was no lockdown. Which means
lockdown did control the acceleration of cases. It would have been further less if not for TJ , sonia sena mismanaging the crisis in MH, commies reporting false numbers from KL and WB .

Agree, we bolted the door after the thieves entered and went into hiding, esp TJ terrorists.

The lockdown is implemented so that the infected don't go out and infect the entire city . I know people are asking why cases still doubled up in this lockdown that is because stupidity has no shortage in this country . Two days ago a new cluster was found in Hyderabad guess what one person who was told to do Home quarantine has thrown a bday party to his neighbours and infected 25 people . in that entire 5 km radius apart from these 25 there are no other cases . If lockdown was not at all followed by one particular community which has spread almost 20k cases how do you expect curve to go down . Lets not shy away from calling the shit lockdown was for one part of the city where no one gave a fuck about any of social distancing norms govt requested to be followed .

Come on how are people now accusing international travellers for all this crisis , This is typical leftshits template to create us vs them so to divert anger on people who travelled abroad and govt but happily ignore the TBJ group which wrecked complete havoc in spreading the virus . Media is angry to call out the single source but happy to create anger against the middle class who travelled abroad.
