US doesnt have a history of going against democracy
LOL no.
US has a great history of toppling and defending all kinds of government as per its interests. India faced it in last century regardless of government type. The idea is to let no pro US regional power survive at all. They will even defend an authoritarian Saudi and even label a democracy as majoritarian, fascist or elected autocracy as per their comfort.

Only countries they behave with rationally are their European allies (even their governments are American implants though). Unlike our Republic which is a real democracy, US state was founded on white nationalism with apartheid laws and its policies in modern era still reflect that heritage at multiple instances.
I agree US is not the best in everything but who is?

Chinese are purely evil..Russians work like a mafia...Trust me its better US is there.
All of three are same. US is no less evil than PRC. As for killing own people, in Russia and China, there's an agency trying to control everything in US, there's a community who loves white.

US is an oligarchy masquerading as democracy, China is an oligarchy masquerading to be a communist state and Russia is an oligarchy acting as an oligarchy. Russia is sometimes lenient though because of its limited capabilities. Baki koi kisi se kam nahi.

US works for you BETTER because other poles of power exist. It won't go very well when they collapse, India has to be another at least to defend its future from sabotages if not playing strategic games. So, let pandemic rot them.
Being subservient to Americans means you are with under the thumb of evangelicals or liberals or sometimes both at the same time
Aren't "liberals" for sure. Cultural Marxism thread has helped a lot to differentiate between liberals and leftists.

From zero, India now produces around 2 lakh PPE kits per day

NEW DELHI: India, which was not manufacturing even a single personal protective equipment (PPE) kit, has now achieved an almost unrealistic goal of producing 2.06 lakh PPE kits daily within two months after the coronavirus outbreak.
The highest single-day production of PPE kits, around 2.06 lakh kits, was recorded on May 2. However, on average, domestic production is about 1.5 lakh per day.

Indian Scientists to culture novel coronavirus in human lung epithelial cell

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad has tied up with a Bengaluru-based company, Eyestem Research Private Limited, to take up research activities on COVID-19. Through this research collaboration, an attempt will be made to grow novel coronavirus in human cell lines, which will enable in vitro testing of potential drugs and vaccines against the COVID-19.

The research team will use Eyestem's human lung epithelial cell culture system provided as part of its Anti-COVID Screening (ACS) platform to understand the molecular and pathological characteristics of the novel coronavirus, with a view of establishing a rational basis for testing potential drugs in vitro, said CCMB scientists.

"Culturing the virus outside the human host is a technological challenge that needs to be overcome. Eyestem's cell culture system expresses the ACE2 receptor and other genes that are key determinants of viral entry and replication. We hope that employing this system will allow the CCMB team led by Dr. Krishnan Harshan to grow the virus predictably and thereby open up the potential for the drug screening and vaccine development strategies", said Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Director, CCMB.

CCMB is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) known for its cutting-edge research work on cellular and molecular biology. Eyestem Research Private Limited is a cell therapy start-up incubated at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), Bengaluru. C-CAMP is an initiative of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology.

Dr. Jogin Desai, CEO, Eyestem, expressed hope that CCMB will be able to leverage its platform and advance COVID-19 research that will help the country. “The ACS platform has been developed by Dr. Rajarshi Pal and his team and is a testament to our depth and expertise in cell therapy and disease modeling,” he said.

Eyestemis working to democratize access to cell therapy as well as disease modeling platforms and bring their benefit to a large section of humanity, added Dr. Desai.

State Governments can also provide rice / wheat to non-NFSA families who have been issued ration cards by the State Governments, for the next three months. A letter regarding OMSS has been sent to the Chief Ministers of all the States/ Administrators of UTs with request to provide ration to the needy non-NFSA families. Under the OMSS, the rates of Rice is fixed at Rs.22/kg and Wheat- 21 Rs/kg.

Meanwhile, FCI has procured 4.50 LMT wheat and 5.61 LMT rice through OMSS during the lockdown period.

Under the “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana”, for next 3 months a total of 104.4 LMT rice and 15.6 LMT wheat is required of which 59.50 LMT rice and 8.14 LMT wheat have been lifted by various States and UTs. The more information I read, the more I'm starting to think that we may have an explosion of cases on our hands. We are now certainly in a situation of some community transmission and the migrant situation will make it worse. We may now see an increase even in states which have done well so far.

i see a general lowering of guard all around ...
kids playing everywhere, people walking around and buying from street vendors without masks, thirsty drunkards crawling over each other to get to the bottle, white-collars returning to air-conditioned caves, junk food vendors opening up...

all point to only one thing. we are fucked. truly.

Just 3 states need to control Maharashtra , Gujrat and now Tamilnadu. Then numbers will fall. Rest of states have somewhat controlled.

Kerala has bucked the trend. But incoming virus load from middle east , slated to be the biggest evacuation EVER undertaken by our country (around 4.5 lacs have registered with a gormint body to be evacuated), is starting tomorrow and will soon reach the spice shores, and which can see this achievement go to nought if not carefully managed.

For second day in a row, no new COVID-19 cases in Kerala
