The Corona Situation in India seems to be manageable so far because of the concentration of spread in about 100 hotspots in the cities.

But now the government has allowed movement of migrant labor and workers of unorganized sectors to move from cities to their homes which is more than 90% cases happen to some "village". I am very apprehensive of this movement because this may take Coron to villages.

Villages are what India makes of and villages of India are the least privileged in terms of availability of health services, infrastructure, basic support systems. and approachability. Even the basic amenities like water, electricity, sanitation, roads, transport, etc are not adequate to meet requirements of management of an epidemic.

Indian Civilian Babus which include Police, Forest Officials, Revenue education and schools, etc are animals of cities, towns, and suburbs. They may be forces to go to villages once in a while but they dwell in towns and cities including the famous "Vidya" Rani types.

Corona reaching villages will be a tough nut to crack....
I suppose once the construction and other avenues open up..them migrant laborers will reconsider going back home rather stay and earn what they lost.
lets see how it pans out.

Shares of Strides Pharma today zoomed 18% to ₹442.

Strides Pharma today announced that it has developed and commercialized Favipiravir Antiviral tablets, which is a generic version of Avigan of Toyama Chemical, Japan. Favipiravir is an antiviral medication that was initially developed to treat influenza in Japan. And in February, after the outbreak of coronavirus, Favipiravir was studied in China and several other countries as an experimental treatment of Covid-19.

"The drug has demonstrated positive outcomes, including a reduction in the duration of Covid-19 and improved lung conditions for the patients," Strides Pharma said.

Shares of Strides Pharma today zoomed 18% to ₹442. In comparison, the Sensex was up over 1% in afternoon trade.

Strides has developed Favipiravir tablets in 400mg and 200mg strengths for convenient dosage administration.

The product is currently being exported to Gulf Cooperation Council countries to treat patients under their treatment program for Covid-19, the Bangalore-based pharma company said.

Strides will also immediately apply to Indian drug authorities to commence necessary studies and make the drug available to Indian patients expeditiously, the company said.

Favipiravir tablets are being manufactured at Strides facility in Bangalore, which can produce up to 6 billion units of solid orals annually and is approved by USFDA among others. Strides has also entered into a preferred arrangement with an Indian API manufacturer for the supplies of Favipiravir API.

Commenting on the development, Dr R Ananthanarayanan, CEO and Managing Director, stated “We are pleased to be the first Indian company to develop and commercially launch Favipiravir tablets for the global markets. Favipiravir has already demonstrated positive outcomes in several studies on Covid-19 patients, and we are hopeful that the treatment regime with Favipiravir would brace up our fight against this virus."

Recovery rate 25.64%.
Increasing by a margin of 0.30٪ everyday.

The new cases, does any body have data how they are contracting the virus?
When all outdoor activities have ceased how are people contracting virus?
Muzzies still roaming in market for ramzan purchase, Friday Ola Uber exercise too in full swing in several places, and slums with 8ftx10ft or 10ftx10ft rooms 4to8 kids, night sexercise to produce more kids, social distancing be damn.....😠

Perfect recipe for disaster.....☺

Further Hindus buying vegetables and mutton laced with spit, urine, nasal fluid from cutlets adding to it.....😠

What are the common equipment in a ICU?
How does ICU help a patient against Corona vs a patient on normal life support
Oh it is a very long answer.

Making it short and brief will add more confusion than clarity.

Intensive care is one of the highly specialised branch of medical sciences.

The skill, dedication, eye for the detail, prompt decision making, and ton loads of studying internal medicine and surgery makes it very challenging job as compare to other specialities or super-specialties.

Ideally patients presenting with different emergency or critical conditions once stabilised in ER and initial work up done and established working diagnosis are shifted to ICUs for intensive monitoring. This order of managing a life threatening condition can be made flexible depending on resources and expertise available at that time.

In ICU patients are simply monitored.

They can also be post operative patients.

The first step obviously is to stabilise them following three alphabet Mantra.

ABC

Airway
Breathing
Circulation

Finding the underline cause of the disease/condition/emergency/complaint/Sickness etc., is done simultaneously and is continuous duty of care.

Strict monitoring of vitals like Heart Rate, Heart rhythm, EKG, respiration, SpO2,Blood pressure, Intra Cranial pressure, Blood gas exchange, temperature, level of consciousness, intake/output, dispensing of drugs, Bio chemistry & haematology markers, basic nursing care, Sterility are main requirements that must be meet in a well documented, transparent and traceable (quality control and quality assurance) Standardised practice environment.

To meet all the requirement you need multiple Tools, equipments and skilled work force lead by intensivist and consulting physician/surgeons.

Equipments:
1. Multi-function, digital display monitors (stand alone or central) and probes connected to Patients giving live feed of their Heart rate, EKG, Respiration rate, Oxygen Saturation! invasive or non invasive Blood pressure stats.

2.Ventilators giving diffrent modes of assisted or controlled respiration (invasive or
non-invasive) Can be connected to multiple probes and sensors measuring Gases like CO2 , VIT etc,. Endotracleal tubes, Laryngoscopes, Ambu bags, Pressurised oxygen supply, Oxygen supply monitoring, air Suction connections, bodily secretion aspirator machines and collectors.

3. Comprehensive readily accessible collection of emergency drugs, dressing sets, suturing sets, tracheotomy sets, Catheters, NG tubes, Thoracotomy sets, procedure tables, autoclave, PPEs.

4. IV lines for subclavian, cephalic, internal carotid, Femoral vein access ( circulation), Arterial lines for Invasive BP monitoring, CVP monitors, syringe pumps etc.

The list is endless depending on what kind of ailment or inhjury you are handling.

Corona vs non-corona ICU patient

No difference.

Managing ABC and basic nursing care remains the same.

Only special care for corona patients in strict isolation and no cross contamination.

BIG BIG BIG
Right, and while at it the CIA should also repeat the following:
1. USA doesn't have a bioweapon program
2. We found WMD in Iraq
3. Porkistan is a true ally in the WOT
4. It's the duty of the greatest nation on earth to make the world a safe place

Pshaw ! Which abrahamic or commie super power will ever let go of a potential future bioweapon by openly saying it leaked from so and so lab ?
