No matter there is so much pollution
Edit: @ezsasa can u move this to a different place this post doesn't belong here

I'm not just talking about footpaths and Road here, I want to bring light on Infrastructure and city planing in General.

The concept of planned city cant be seen in India expect for cities like Delhi, old Mumbai and Chandigarh.

For a city that has constant floods a storm drainage can do wonders.
For a city which has Constant storms underground cable can do wonders.

Here in India they makes a road and later dug up the same road for installing underground power lines.

Houses are built first then roads are built later.

There is no concept of housing blocks, random houses pop up everywhere.

People buy 2000×2000 sq ft lands and want to utilise the full area for building infra. There is no gap left between the house and boundary of the plot.
There is a law in Kolkata which states that u have to leave a gap between building and plot boundary
I don't remember the exact figure but it's something like this.

1 storey 1 m
2 to 4 storey 1.2 m
4 to 6 storey 1.8m
6 to 10 min 2.5m
10 and above min 4m

Many a times people encroach on land which is belongs to the government, later there is no space for road to expand.

In cities of Bihar there is no proper drainage system, waste water flows into nearby ponds and when all ponds get filled up the water starts filling up the road. Major cause of flooding in cities.

There are no proper roads footpath is non existent.

A good city means foreign investment which means more jobs, housing and better economy.

And smart cities just don't build them selves they have to be planned and continuously monitored.

There are certain steps to be considered when building a city.

1. The government buys the land keeping Roads and Footpath in Mind.
2. Next they buy land for power station, they initially buy a huge chunk so that it can be later expanded.
3. Proper Storm drainage is planned if the areas is prone to flooding.
4. Areas are alloted where there is restriction for building houses, only industry can be set up here, the folks who are residing in that place are given adequate prices.
5. Drainage system is planned considering housing societies and Industries in Mind
6. Drainage system and Storm Drainage are first to be built.
7. Underground Cabelling is installed.
8. Roads are Constructed and land for footpat is left no enroachnent is allowed.
9. Roads are Constructed in such a manner that they divide the area into blocks.
10. Land is bought for government Hospital, initially only a small part of the plot is used for hospital building later the same is expanded when the population of the city increase.
11. Private bidders are invited to for housing projects.
13. Any natural water body source like river, lake, ponds streams are Conserved
14. STP are built for residential and Industrial waste separately.
15. Children Parks and any place of Historical value is preserved.

16. Watch the money roll in

Blame it to US Pharma lobby . They are keeping drug prices artificially inflated

why so much fuss about HCQ???
Its just a immunomodulator .
Seems Govt are not even looking to research for better drugs and vaccines and tests.
US is least of my concerns and their model is a discussion for another time. I posted that to highlight one of the many things about India that I am really proud of - world leader in generic drugs even after threats on patents from western nations and constant arm-twisting on quality control. Now, the same nations are scrambling for an import of the medicines.

Regarding HCQ - it seems to be effective at the initial stages of COVID-19 and is routinely advised in the sub continent specially for Malaria. When nothing else is working, something that is even mildly effective can be a big thing.

Dimran Khan managed to find some time from tweeting against Modi, Hindutva and RSS to finally beg the global institutions for some money.

A common tactic this drug junkie Wazir-e-Azam of Terroristan uses to shift the failure of Pakistan in handling the pandemic is to use the term 'developing' countries when begging so as to somehow imply India is in it too and to give an impression that it isn't just for Pakistan.

My appeal to the international community, the UNSG & international financial institutions to respond positively to the dilemma confronting developing countries in the face of the COVID19 pandemic. #Global_Initiative_Debt_Relief"

Red, Orange and Green Zones may pave way for ‘life after lockdown’ as Gov’t readies plan for easing of restrictions

Coronavirus Lockdown Extension: The centre plans to divide the country into three zones-Red, Orange & Green Zones to ease lockdown restrictions. Know what are Coronavirus lockdown zones and the restrictions that are applicable in each of them here.

Coronavirus Lockdown Extension: Red, Orange or Green zones may be set up across the country during the hinted lockdown extension. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the message of ‘Jaan Bhi, Jahan Bhi’ during his meeting with all the state Chief Ministers on April 11, 2020, hinting at a possible ease of lockdown restrictions. The centre is likely to categorise the country into red, orange and green zones depending on the number of Covid-19 cases during the proposed extension in the lockdown, paving way for limited services to function in the safe zones. The new cluster containment plan is likely to see the country move from a complete lockdown to a ‘smart lockdown’.

During the meeting with the state CMs, the Prime Minister welcomed states' recommendation on lockdown extension and also said that the current crisis calls for a middle path approach that maintains a balance between lifting of pan-India lockdown restrictions while also continuing the necessary restrictions to save lives of people. Officials privy to the discussions during the four-hour-long conference between PM Modi and the state chief ministers said that schools and colleges would remain shut but some small scale industries and liquor shops may be allowed to function.

There was near unanimity in extending the ongoing 21-day lockdown till April 30 and the central government is likely to categorise the country into three zones -- red, orange and green -- depending on the number of COVID-19 cases, an official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said.
Need of Smart Lockdown – Red, Orange and Green Zones

The government is likely to take the middle path approach during lockdown extension and impose a smart lockdown by categorising areas into red, orange and green zones. One of the key reasons behind the middle-path approach of Central Government is its focus on dwindling economy. With the economic activity in the country at a standstill for last fortnight, the centre now has to shoulder the all-important responsibility of lifting the lockdown to restart the economy before it suffers from irreversible damage. This is where the idea of a smart lockdown comes into picture.

Smart lockdown will allow the government to extend the on-going lockdown which is pivotal to flatten the curve and save lives while also allowing it to grant relaxations in certain areas and cases to ensure the survival of the economy as well. This is where colour coding of Red, Orange and Green Zones come into picture.
Zone-wise Classification of Country

Under the Lockdown 2.0 or the Smart Lockdown, the country will be divided or classified into three key zones-Red, Orange and Green. Derived from the colour of the traffic lights, these zones will support the cluster containment plan announced by the government, while opening up the rest of the places. According to a PTI report, the details about zone-wise distribution of the country that was discussed in PM and CMs meet is as follows:

Red Zone: Similar to how a red traffic light brings all activity on road to a halt, a district or cluster declared as a red zone, will see severe restrictions with zero or no activity allowed. Typical understanding is that any place with more than 15 COVID-19 positive cases can be declared as a red zone.

Orange Zone: Again continuing the traffic light analogy, the places that are placed under orange zone will have restrictions in place, while also seeing some form of easing of lockdown measures. Orange zone may see opening of limited public transport and also allow exemptions for essential services personnel and farming and harvest activity for the on-going season. PTI report indicated that places designated as Orange zone will have less than 15 cases of COVID-19.

Green Zone: Places which have so far not reported even a single COVID-19 positive case will be declared as Green Zone under Government’s new plan. This means nearly 400+ districts of India might qualify to be tagged as Green Zone. This zone will see maximum easing of lockdown restrictions to bring a sense of normalcy back to the country. Media reports claims that in the green zone, MSME industries might be allowed to function with in-house lodging facilities for employees with proper maintenance of social distance.
What will be allowed to open?

Liquor shops: The Chief Ministers advocated for opening of liquor shops, as they are major revenue generating stores for the state.

MSME industries : Some MSMEs falling under the green zone will be allowed to operate with in-house lodging facilities for the employees, while ensuring proper maintenance of social distancing norms.

Agricultural activities: Agricultural activities are expected to be allowed in lockdown 2.0 in both orange and green zones with strict maintenance of social distancing rule.

Metro service: Limited metro services may begin in cities such as Delhi with reduction in passenger count. Only 30 percent passengers may be allowed.

Air/rail service: Limited domestic air travel and train services may be allowed in select areas with about 30 percent passengers.

Public Transport: The public transport services may be enhanced. Currently, in major cities, only 30 percent of the DTC and cluster buses are operational for people working is essential services.
What will not be allowed?

Malls/ Restaurants: Despite easing of restrictions in the safe zones, malls and restaurants may not open.

Large-scale movement of people: The Chief Ministers vehemently opposed the idea of any large scale inter-state movement of people, saying they do not have the capacity to put thousands of people in quarantine together.

Yes but I hardly doubt that thekha would be completely empty. It might be half full and may empty in 1 day . Nonetheless this year is effectively ruin.
