Swachh China now! Xi follows Modi, orders a 'toilet revolution' in villages
Chinese President Xi Jinping has taken a leaf out of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's book. In a move that resembles Modi's Swachh Bharat campaign, Xi has called for improving toilets across China, especially in rural areas. He first launched the “toilet revolution” in 2015 to build better toilets at tourist sites. Now Xi wants the "revolution" to reach rural areas.

Mostly rural people and remote area people like to eat Dog, but mainsteam mid class in Chinese don't eat.

It's just like most Chinese think Indian like to shit outside without toilet... but i think it's not all true.
even if some chinese eat dog meat, why the denial. your country your culture, own it. what's wrong with it?
why are chinese so conscious about western opinion? you guys are the second richest and second most powerful military in the world.

india is a democracy, so we have to worry about opinions from other democracies. china is under no such compulsion, more so because china is a net exporter.

Bandra locals oppose corona victims’ burial

MUMBAI: The BMC’s decision to use the Bandra kabaristan to bury the bodies of Covid-19 victims has triggered protests among local residents as the burial ground shares a wall with the residential area of the Lane Varde Marg off Turner Road, close to G7 Multiplex.

“There’s a high chance that the family members of a Covid-19 victim are infected too. If they come to our populated residential area for burial, it could prove dangerous for us. At least 65-70% of the residents are senior citizens, a high-risk group,” said Zameer Palamkote , joint chairman of the Area Local Management (ALM), which comprises 35-40 buildings. The kabaristan is located 50m away from the residential area.

Shelar, corporator oppose BMC move

There are a few families living inside the kabaristan too.

“On Sunday, a few civic workers started digging in the kabaristan. They left only after those living on the burial ground called the police,” Sanjay Naik, who lives right next to the kabaristan, told TOI. “We are opposed to the BMC’s decision as it could be a health hazard for us residents. The coronavirus infection stays in the body for a long time, so, ideally, one shouldn’t bury the deceased. If they want to bury bodies, they should do it in an isolated area,” added Naik, who is also Mumbai Cricket Association secretary.

Bandra (west) MLA Ashish Shelar and local corporator Swapna Mhatre too are opposed to the civic body’s controversial move. They plan to go to the BMC headquarters on Monday to represent this issue.

“We will represent people’s opposition to the BMC circular to the municipal corporation and the state government,” Shelar told TOI. Mhatre added: “It is important that those’ve died due to this infection be buried properly, but… doesn’t mean you put the others at risk.”

TOI’s efforts to contact BMC chief Praveen Pardeshi for comment were futile.

Bandra residents also took to Twitter to make their protestes heard. “BMC must put its notification of health hazards, if any, to the people living in close proximity of the place where Covid19 deceased are going to be buried. People are panicking in Bandra west.@mybmc @mybmc-WardHW @AUThackeray @CPMumbaiPolice @MumbaiPolice,” tweeted Akram Z Khan, who lives adjacent to the kabaristan. Fifty of his family members live inside the kabaristan, he told TOI.

I think comparing USA and Europe who are always on the verge of recession since that 2008 economic collapse to India is not good.
Their fear of recession is very high because whatever little is being developed (I know that little too gives huge boost to their gdp) is being eaten by coronavirus, if they don't do anything now whatever is left will not be left in future same case is not with India.

Indian media anchor praised by Taiwanese media for taking on China

Palki Sharma broadcast a 4-minute news about Taiwan on April 1. She said that all countries in the world regard Taiwan as a model, but the CCP continues to suppress Taiwan in the WHO. The CCP even asks the print media not to have relevant reports. The female anchor said that India is an independent country and that the CCP ’s pressure is useless and should stop excluding Taiwan. Indian media “WION” female anchor Paki. Selma: “Taiwan is regarded as a model by all countries in the world, but the World Health Organization has not done so. It has not applauded Taiwan. The World Health Organization has not even recognized Taiwan because the Chinese Communist Party.” “Monday evening, the Chinese Communist Ambassador in New Delhi The pavilion issued a statement criticizing the Indian media ’s report on Taiwan ’s need to join the WHO, declaring that Taiwan does not have the right to join the WHO. Countries, those bad pressures and suppression in the WHO should be corrected. “ Well, the Indian female anchor asked to stop suppressing Taiwan. The American bimonthly “The National Interest” also published an article that pointed out that Europe ’s support for Taiwan ’s participation in the World Health Organization (WHO) has never been more powerful than it is now. One reason may be that Europe ’s growing dissatisfaction with the CCP ’s authoritarian regime and the realization that any cooperation with the CCP will be accompanied by political repression and restrictions related to commercial trade.

The thing is if anything hits them The main outsourcing streams from India to them, get hits heavily.

World Believes COVID-19 Originated In China: BJP MLA To Chinese Embassy Official

We are probably the only civilization to call Hindus protecting us as "loudmouths"..

One thing I like about liberals, no matter what their kind does, they will never ever bad mouth them.
We on the other-hand will push a courageous leader like Raja Singh under a bus.

Odd that loudmouths are being defined by religion rather than their usual quality. All bark and no bite is the quality that defines loudmouths as far as I am concerned.

I don't know about Raja Singh, but you have to agree there are a lot of people in BJP that often say things that provide ammunition to the opposition. Take my CM Biplab for example, although he seems to have stopped now.

This is not to say that the opposition doesn't have loudmouths of their own. The "Youth leader" himself is one. This is the reason why he is the laughing stock of the nation. Must we create/encourage similar idiots on the BJP side just because of religion ?

There was absolutely nothing of a loudmouth vague statement here.

It's a generously worded and clear statement what diplomats give to their foreign counterparts while indicating stance of their country!

What exactly is wrong with it?

Remember the time when China was portraying false narrative about India showcasing doctored/false images of the Ganges and bodies floating around etc. Well Karma is a b!tch ain’t it? How does it feel to get exposed and all dirty secrets popping out? I am thoroughly enjoying this China expose.

People had got enamored by China’s economic might but how can you cover up shit by pushing it under the carpet. Here comes the stench now.
One of the best post in this thread, especially those who were active on PDF in yesteryear.

It was Pakistan tasting karma slap until now. Welcome China.

Nothing at all. In fact I would like the highest level of our government to acknowledge and call the virus by its origin name. That's not what they are doing though. Instead Delhi is using this for diplomatic quid quo pro. Nothing wrong with that, but I would still like to see an official acknowledgement of the origin of the virus.

If the top rung of national leaders or even the top party leaders can't say much about it, the lower shelf of leaders become important. This is where people from this group can say the undiplomatic but true stuff and Delhi can exercise plausible deniability.

My remark wasn't about denigrating this particular man but rather about stating the irony. Often the lower shelf leaders of BJP lands them in trouble in matters of domestic politics, but here they are being used to say things the Delhi can't/won't say officially at the highest level of international polittics.
