Poor UK not only its suffering with most cases , its also suffering with people who are burning telephone towers in rumours that 5G is causing Wuhan Virus .

Something strange in Europe all these western European top HDI level countries have less recoveries and more death

UK has 61k confirmed cases, Deaths : 7k, Recoveries : 360
Netherlands has 21k confirmed cases, Deaths : 2k, Recoveries : 272
Sweden has 9k confirmed cases, Deaths : 800, Recoveries : 200
Norwary has 6k confirmed cases, Deaths : 100, Recoveries : 32

And country which is under sanctions is having more recoveries

Iran has 66k confirmed cases, Deaths : 4k, Recoveries : 32k

Last week we were outside Top 30 countries with most cases . Thanks to TBJ jokers now we are exactly 20 another week more we will join the Top 10 i think .

So Apollo J hills now authorised private lab for Wuhan virus test . let me know how many people are taking the test after a week .
Till Yesterday ,Apollo J H was not allowed to conduct tests by state government ,though we have acquired kits (They are being used for staff exposed to covoid patients) .The samples of patients were being sent to state government owned hospitals. As of today there are 14 patients having respiratory symptoms whose reports are awaited

NSA? I am pretty sure they can trace ones contacts from ones previous life. :biggrin2:
contact tracing also involves a call centre approach & people going to homes to follow up on cases, which is obviously costly for them.

Apparently US does not have sufficient resources for aggressive contact tracing...
Them USA was late in enforcing rules and lock down probably cuz they had over confidence in their health network.
and as usual...any health system will collapse if its overwhelmed by the patients as in the case of chinese virus which is freakingly virulent. Any world class infrastructure will collapse..

Though the business of health survives on sick patients..the real risk of the business of life care is in PREVENTING RISKS from overwhelming it.

USA should have started the lock down early like in India and used the resources efficiently.. They lost it on both counts

BC g@nd fat rahi hai idhar , BC for past few days we are seeing 100+ new cases everyday and still no strict lockdown was visible .

BC people get out of their houses to buy vegetables as if veggies are more important than their lives and as if there is no tomorrow.

Chu CM has got up from his sleep and today a notice of strict lockdown from tomorrow to 14 th has been sent in a lot of areas in Mumbai. In my area except medical and milk no other shops/hawkers are to be open not even veggies, fruits and kirana stores. Atleast that is the circular let's see how efficient/ strict is the lockdown.

BC idhar cases par cases badh rahe hai aur MC whatsapp aur FB ke post par focus hai gov. Ka.

Next five days are going to be crucial for Mumbai
Mumbai recording more than 100 cases daily over the past 2 two days is an indication of the spread peaking.

AFP
MUMBAI: The next five days are going to be crucial for Maharashtra, especially Mumbai, as the COVID-19 trajectory during this period will determine whether Mumbai fares better or faces a situation akin to New York

ET spoke to several officials from the state government, health department and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). They said Mumbai recording more than 100 cases daily over the past two days is an indication of the virus spread peaking. However, they hoped that the number will start falling over the next week. There is, however, a worrying caveat.

“Studying global trends and the spread of the disease, so far, in Mumbai, we can say that we may possibly even get 200 to 300 cases per day in the next five-six days. We are geared up for that but expect and hope that the numbers will fall after this six-day period. However, if this peak or surge continues for the next 10 days, then we may see a situation similar to that in Italy or New York,” said a health department official.

In simple terms, the surge will mean the number of cases doubling and tripling. For instance, till two weeks ago, Mumbai was seeing only a handful of cases. It then rose to 50 cases per day and now to more than 100 daily in the last few days. Within 12 hours on Thursday morning, the city saw 48 more cases.

BMC, which has been doing aggressive testing has now ramped up its scale. As many as 1,500 tests are being conducted daily.

The civic body has formed teams to check not just hot spots but also every municipal ward to spot anyone with symptoms of cough, cold and fever.

A state govt official said the majority of the cases in the state was because of people who had arrived from Saudi Arabia, UAE and other West Asian countries, which were not in the central list of countries to be quarantined. He, however, said over the last few days, the Nizamuddin Markaz connection has also been identified as several of those who attended the gathering had returned to the state. The effect is particularly seen in Mumbai’s slum pockets such as Dharavi.

Giving an example of how tough it is to check the spread of the virus in slums, a civic official said, “An infected person in the slums has contact with at least 30 other people. So, the spread is much higher and we have to work that much harder to trace the contacts of all these 30 people as well,” said the official.

The spread of the virus not just surged in Dharavi but other slum clusters such as Bandra East. BMC commissioner Praveen Pardeshi announced on Thursday that anyone roaming outside, in cars or at work would have to mandatorily wear a mask or else be prepared to be arrested and a police case will be registered. The order is compulsory even for state government officials.

Sources said the number of cases in Pune districts has worried the state. The Pune administration saw new cases from various parts of the city in the last few days. Consequently on Tuesday, the Pune administration decided to enforce curfew in five zones of the city to curb people movement. The curfew will be relaxed only for two hours.

Oh definitely this is community spreading, Mumbai entered stage 3 and shit hit the fan when the disease entered the slums.

We are getting + cases here from vegetable vendors , tea vendors , maids who live in slums, and + cases from the most richest neighborhood of Malabar hill. In short the whole City is f@cked and this being the financial capital it will drag the whole country with it.

Now I don't want to create panic, but I know how people live in the slums and what population density in Dharavi means.

Social distancing and hygiene means shit when 7 lakh people live in an area of 2.1 sqkm.
