Anyone here keeping an eye on Chinese virus related daily briefings other than India, US & UK?

It should give an idea on parity in response across counties.

Safe to say, this calendar year will not have any lifting of travel ban between countries.
Have been following Spain and Italy. They both are approximately two weeks ahead of us. We sadly seem to be following Itlay's curve now after Jamat fiasco.

If we take indian Govt daily PC as baseline, how informative are daily PC from Spain and Italy?

Mass testing will solve most of our problem.
Whatever Damage Jamatis have done will be visible within a week or two.

We are on our way seeing a drop, 700 cases then 500 cases I hope not more than 400 cases today.

There is some confusion regarding the number of patients in ICU. Spanish health ministry wants each state to report the figure to ministry only not in media. Ministry will report that figure once they have data from every state. Meanwhile today 863 have died there. The people are not taking the advisory seriously.

Keen to block Indian initiatives at SAARC Pakistan wants secretariat's involvement, word from New Delhi

While Pakistan has not been part of the SAARC commerce ministers video conference meeting that happened on Wednesday since SAARC secretariat wasn't present, it is now learnt that Pakistan is keen to involve the secretariat so that it can block Indian initiatives. Pakistan has been trying to bring all COVID interaction, which is currently India led, under formal SAARC platform by involving SAARC secretariat.

If current COVID talks happen under SAARC umbrella sources said Islamabad is sure to block Indian initiatives and proposals using SAARC charter provisions, rules of procedures as it has done in the past. Additional, Pakistan will be keen on using consensus, an old tactic to stall agenda drafting, outcome documents and bring the situation to a stalemate, which cant be risked as the crisis spreads.

In the past, Islamabad had used the secretariat to block the initiative by New Delhi and blocked a major connectivity proposal--SAARC Motor Vehicle Agreement, a key outcome of the last formal SAARC Summit that took place in Kathmandu way back in 2014.

Current India led activities, sources said, are events under COVID crisis and New Delhi described these activities as stand-alone and outside the "SAARC calendar of approved activities". The aim of being jointly dealing with the crisis in the region without being bound by procedural formalities and focus on the result.

India PM Modi last month called for a joint SAARC strategy to deal with the COVID crisis ad for which had proposed a video conference. All Saarc countries participated at heads of govt/states level barring Pakistan which was represented at a junior advisor level. Since then two video meets have taken place on SAARC --Health officials and commerce officials, the last did not saw any Pakistani participation. Pakistan has also not contributed to SAARC COVID emergency fund, in which all the countries of the region have announced contribution barring Islamabad.

An honorable gesture that can help save the lives of many Brazilians, and which we will never forget.
Modi has started looking like a world leader. I see two poles now. One is China with its stooges and other is India with civilised world. I see US more like hulk (bheem of mahabharat.) powerful but not leader. This crisis has shown how the power equations have changed. Russia slowly becoming insignificant like UK. US will do everything possible to secure itself in the aftermath.
