Even US media seems to be going over the top in advertising that one of their ship has been infected and the captain has requested evac. Even if it did happen, they wouldn't have disclosed it to the media at the risk of demoralizing their sailors if they didn't want to. It's not like there's a Fox News crew on the ship 24x7. This is some sort of narrative building going on.

US and China were at logger heads and this कठोर आपदा serves as a common ground for both to back down from their positions with humility without making it look like either one has lost.

Re lack of AC in the Pacific, the USN only has USS America which is an Assault Amphibious Ship with F-35Cs. This ship is effectively a light aircrafy carrier, albeit with limited range.

Logically how can this even happen? You have to be in direct contact or vicinity of a person with Chinese virus to get infected.

Either the person came from US or Europe recently,

or was in vicinity of tablighi Jamaat
