Though T cell count is a helpful indicator, Im not sure if having high T cell count itself is sufficient.. coz the virus attacks alveoli cells... in my opinion, those having ability to produce IgA antibodies in large amt. and those having strong innate immunity will have better chances, since IgA is localized in mucus.. but its just my two cents

Of course not sufficient, can never be. More markers and predictive models will be required to categorise the severity and probable outcome. To be honest no good intensivist will trust any predictive marker because things change very fast.

I strongly believe regardless of pathology testing, advance support systems and good nursing care it the hands on approach of Intensive care specialists that saves lives. This is the reason people are dying, this is the reason why it must to slowed down so that the doctors can give sufficient time to monitor the sick.

Its not practical at all. In our state as the date stroke 31st March we are already in lockdown since the last 10 days or so. And 14 more days (as of today 12 days) to go.

And the scarcity of food is jumping as the time is passing. A total lockdown extension in addition after 14th March will be a disaster for sure.

Some might say that we can open the shops for 5 days and then again go for lockdown. But that wouldn't be a good option either because after this type of extensive lockdown where all the suppliers (farmers and other people) are shut to coming to the markets in the cities. It will take atleast 7-10 days to resume everything. And then people people will take atleast 2-3 days to collect their necessary supplies for the coming lockdown. Now think for yourself a break of altogether 12 days will only make this scenario worse.

So, here's what Govt. can do. Lift the lockdown (after 14th March) but enforce huge restrictions like banning of public gatherings, shutting of cinema halls, malls, pubs, bars etc. And also enforce (if needed forcefully) social distancing in crowd places and all. Seal off state borders (more heavily), don't resume trains, buses or flights for the next month or so. But resume the small businesses and local shops. This way people can sustain their lives but also be safe at the same time.
