Intas Pharma to donate 2 million hydroxychloroquine tablets for WHO-endorsed study

Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd is collaborating on a World Health Organization-endorsed study into the prevention of Covid-19 using hydroxychloroquine, a drug that may have an effect in preventing and/or reducing symptoms of the coronavirus, according to the company.

There are 40,000 frontline healthcare workers involved in the global COPCOV (chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine prevention of Covid-19 in the healthcare setting; a randomised, placebo-controlled prophylaxis) study which is scheduled to start shortly. These workers are involved in caring for Covid-19 patients, said Intas, touted to be the largest supplier by volume of generic medicines to the UK NHS.

The Tablighi congregation was supposed to happen in Palghar Maharashtra near Mumbai on 14 th March , Konkan District SP denied permission to the congregation due to China virus. Then it was shifted to Delhi.

Whoever gave permission for this meet in Delhi needs to be punished.

Guys, do you think the lockdown is going to be extended beyond April 14th?

Govt is preparing for the long haul. There was news of 15,000 nurses being trained. Army, para millitary is also being prepped as they have experience in handling both medical situation and law n order. All these are signs of a worsening situation.

Pardon me but what is the current strength of ISIS in the M.E. Gone are the days when ISIS jihadis like Brit Jihadi John used to execute prisoners and post on youtube. Last checked Bagdaddy is also dead, as per US millitary. Asad regime is back with a bang in Syria and no news of large scale air attacks by NATO, Israel over Syria. Then what is the ISIS fighting against. They shld be more worried about Turkish invasion of Idlib than sending mercenaries in India. I get a feeling its more of a bogey now. Other Jihadi tanzeems are misusing ISIS name to further their agenda. IS is mostly defeated now. I m not ready to believe ISIS is still driving chaos in ME and terrorism. Something doesnt addup
