Hand washing is good ,but with alcohol based hand wash
If you want to use a sanitizer ,it should have at least 70% alcohol

Buy dr spirit or after shave liquid they work the same as sanatizer.

They are giving it as a prophylactic to quarantined Contacts of a known positive patient along with also giving it to health workers.

but twitter link which i posted says that he tested positive for covid-19 and post that his doctor gave him that drug which cured him ....

RSS insists on calling Covid Chinese


Tribune News Service US President Donald Trump may have agreed to stop using the term “Chinese virus” for Covid-19, however, here in India the ruling BJP’s ideological fountainhead, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is firm the pandemic should be referred to as that. According to Sangh affiliate Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM), “It is not hate speech. People are cursing China for not behaving like a responsible nation.” Talking to The Tribune, SJM’s Ashwani Mahajan said, “I am not referring to conspiracy angles or theories but only facts. Despite having information about the virus in December, the Chinese government did not inform the world and allowed its spread. Even the role of the World Health Organisation (WHO) is doubtful.” On being reminded that India was referring to the virus as per international nomenclature, Mahajan said, “It can be because of diplomatic reasons, but the fact remains that China did not behave like a responsible nation and (India) will have to review our relations with the country in future.”

So, what I am getting is liquid handwash like dettol or savlon or santoor will work to keep that China virus outside?
Becuase practically they are liquid soap.
Give me like if I am correct.

I have heard criticism of india that it is not testing enough.
All fair, but one also has to look at death figures. Testing or no testing, death figures will not be altered by it anways. Today at the moment our death figure is 32 which is nothing given our total population and in comparison to death figures of western countries.
I think multiple factors are at work that has kept the figures low.
I also do hope that after 1st april real hot waves are expected through out india, and temperatures 40 and above. I pray to god that this temperature itself disinfects whole of india.
On a lighter note , all my life i have been cursing indias temperatures in summer and always drooled at weather in western countries, First time it is other way round.

As I always say..china can steal technology...research papers..even virus from foreign labs..but they cant steal the experience... and a whole lot of processes and protocols that has evolved in a particular segment from another country.

They are using the drug as treatment but what I referred to was that it was Also being used as a prophylactic.

All virus have fatty outer layer called lipids. Soaps contain amphiphiles , when it comes in contact with lipids it's attach to them and effectively disconnect it from virus. 20 seconds is required because we have ridges in which virus is stuck at our skin. That's why good rubbing is required.. A good 30 seconds with any soap is enough.
