Things in Bihar are getting real bad.

My Aunt lives near Hanumanagar and the area has 2 corona cases. Authorities have sealed the area when second case was discovered, 1st case was discovered some 3 days back.

Infection has reached far flung areas like Begusaria and Lakshisaria, Purnia.
These places have no testing facility and they have to send the samples to Patna for Evaluation.
Remind u this is a case of community spread.

There are only 13 hospital that can handle corona cases out of which only 1 has testing facility.
No gear for Health Worker's, doctors and Nurese don't know the protocol.

DRDO develops casualty evacuation bags


The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has designed a casualty evacuation bag to transport or isolate persons infected with Covid-19. The bag is water and air-proof and treated to deal with biological agents.

“The design of the bag was finalised this week and DRDO will be procuring an initial lot of 500 such bags,” a senior DRDO official said. “We are looking at the private industry which has expertise in this field to manufacture them,” he added.

Saudi intercepts Huthi missiles over curfew-locked Riyadh, border city

Riyadh, Mar 29 (AFP) Saudi air defences intercepted Yemeni rebel missiles over Riyadh and a city on the Yemen border, leaving two civilians wounded in the curfew-locked capital amid efforts to combat coronavirus, state media said Sunday.

Multiple explosions shook Riyadh late Saturday in the first major assault on Saudi Arabia since the Huthi rebels offered last September to halt attacks on the kingdom after devastating twin strikes on Saudi oil installations.

Cyber chief's warning as hackers target PM's Covid fund
In a stern warning to Cyber Criminals, India’s National Cyber Security Coordinator (NCSC) in Prime Minister’s Office, Lt General Rajesh Pant has issued a cautioning statement to cyber criminals not to take advantage of the present COVID-19 crisis and commit financial frauds against unsuspecting citizens and enterprises.

Talking to ET Online, in a telephonic interview Lt Gen.Pant said, “In the past two months almost 4000 fraud portals related to Corona Virus have been created across the globe by cyber criminals and other mafia organisations.”

He added, “It is so sad to see that even in the midst of such a serious humanitarian crisis, these heartless crooks can only think of opportunism and theft”.

According to government sources, even the Prime Minister';s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund)’ set up was not spared and within a few hours of it’s announcement on Saturday, “half a dozen” similar sounding websites were created such as “PM-care” etc. Lt Gen. Pant added “fortunately, we have an efficient mitigation mechanism and organisations like CERT-In and the bank staff which are working round the clock to block such malicious sites.”

Earlier this week, India’s computer emergency response team issued an advisory on coronavirus pandemic (covid-19) based cyber attacks.

The DCP Cybercrime pointed on Sunday the Fake UPI ID Pmcare@SBI was blocked upon information. They alerted, “Please note, the correct UPI ID of PM CARES Fund is pmcares@sbi”

Talking to ET Online Alexander J. Urbelis, Partner and cyber security expert at New York based Blackstone Law Group said, "As part of our monitoring of malicious activity in the world';s DNS (domain name system), we began seeing over 2,500 Coronavirus-related domain registrations per day, in nearly every language and region of this planet."

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement on Saturday, "the spread of coronavirus has been alarming and is posing severe health and economic ramifications for our country. The Prime Minister';s office has been receiving spontaneous and innumerable requests for making generous donations to support the government in the wake of this emergency."

This fund will also enable micro-donations as a result of which a large number of people will be able to contribute with smallest of denominations, the prime minister office statement said.

A range of celebrities and business community including Gautam Adani, Bollywood actor Akshay Kuma, Varun Dhavan, Gautam Ghambhir, Organisations like Paytm have started pouring funds to PM Cares Fund. Fund is set up to deal with the Covid-19 situation which is “posing severe health and economic ramifications” for our country, PM office said in a statement on Saturday. Prime Minister is the Chairman of this trust and its Members include Defence Minister, Home Minister and Finance Minister.

Lt Gen. Pant told ET, working from home also poses greater cyber security challenges as he dissected the mind of a hacker. Pant said, “since a large population is now under lockdown and working from homes, their cyber security measures are not as efficient as their office enterprise security standards, which is then exploited by the hackers.”

When asked about the attribution and nabbing cyber criminals, he pointed, even though attribution of the cyber-criminals who are based abroad is a problem area, Lt Gen Pant said he was hopeful that for hackers operating from within the country, “our cyber police will hunt out these scums from under whichever rocks they are hiding and bring them to justice.”

Urbelis added, "What this all means is that – globally – there are opportunistic actors seeking to exploit this health crisis for personal gain. Some of these websites are created for abject virus-related sales, focusing on masks, preventative care, cleaning supplies or services, bogus vaccines, and others -- a smaller but dangerous percentage of which -- are being used for outright fraud, phishing, misinformation, and the distribution of malware."

Pointing to the ongoing Covid-19 related scams and threats, Payments Card Industry (PCI) said, "During this time of uncertainty and increased online activity, cyber criminals are actively working to exploit the current COVID-19 story with attacks aimed at taking advantage of the situation. It is important now more than ever to be aware of online scams and threats as they are increasing in volume and sophistication.”

Covid-19: Hindus denied food supplies in Pakistan’s Karachi
Amid COVID-19 outbreak, thousands of needy gathered at Rehrri Ghoth in Karachi to receive food supplies and daily essentials. However, those who belong to the Hindu community were told to go back since the rations were only meant for Muslims. Sindh government issued order to distribute ration in lockdown through local NGOs and administration to daily wage workers and labourers. The distribution of food supplies was organised by local government in collaboration with the district government. Hindus were told that they were not eligible for having food supplies since it was only meant for Muslims, informed activists. No screening arrangements were provided for nearly 3,000 people who had gathered to collect rations. Hindus in Lyari, Sachal Ghoth and other parts of Karachi as well as all over Sindh are being denied a share in government food. Dr Amjad Ayub Mirza, a political activist has warned that the minorities are now faced with a serious food crisis and asked the Indian government to send supplies via Rajasthan to Sindh. He appealed to PM Modi to intervene without delay to avert a human crisis in Sindh. There are more than half a million Hindus living in Sindh province of Pakistan.

Just talked to my Aunt she is in the same area where 2 cases were found.

Apparently the guy was a assistant at NMCH where first Patient in Bihar was treated he had attend to the guy that came back from Oman.
He had contacted the Virus from him.

Apparently he Attended a Wedding and roamed in the market care free before symptoms had shown up.

There is a estimate that he has infected the whole area by now.

Ok, the ICMR defines that as local transmission (if you have an idea of how the infection happened), not community transmission which is when you have no idea of how the infection happened where the infection has jumped through many unknown persons.

Doctors dismissed a Patient for being negative later the same nigga died and was tested positive for virus.

Indian Railways gears up to provide cooked food to needy people in times of lock down.


Indian Railways has decided to provide bulk cooked food with paper plates to needy people from the locations where they have base kitchens of IRCTC.

The list of base kitchens of IRCTC zonewise is given below:

1. South Central Railway: Vijaywada

2. Western Railway: Ahmedabad, Mumbai Central.

3. East Cost Railway: Khurdha Road

4. South Eastern Railway: Balasore

5. Northern Railway: New Delhi, Paharganj

6. North Central Railway: Prayagraj, Jhansi, Kanpur

7. Central Railway: CSMT, Pune, Sholapur, Bhusawal

Officers and divisions are sending indents . Distribution will be done by RPF and /or other Railway authorities. The assistance of NGOs, volunteers may also be taken for this exercise.

Working in a team IRCTC along with RPF and NGOs in various Railway Zones is supplying cooked food with paper plates to needy people. While delivering the food to needy persons , social distancing and hygiene is being observed.

It may be noted that Indian Railways and IRCTC are gearing up to meet any higher demand to provide food to needy in the times of lock down , which has been imposed to prevent the spread of COVID -19. IRCTC is ready for any contingency and adequate stocks of foodgrains and other raw material are being maintained.
