I think they want to get away from UP wallahs.
The problem is a severely corrupt political class and breakdown of civic sense, whose roots lies in centuries of savage colonialism starting 1192.

The sad thing is the same people who hate that culture and try to escape, fall prey to those tendencies and general environment while they are still stating in UP
The Case of UP/Bihar is that of years of Corruption and Babudom.

They need yogi for at least 15 to 20 years to fix the gap.

isn't it strange he is pushing trade when the world is ravaged??
I tell you sir, we must create new bio weapons for them now.
I have no sympathy left for these people.
People died.... No sadness for them.
These type of people are worse for humanity and good for business, common people now have to choose "which type to choose?" definitely a world leader from powerful nation must come and straight say to China "shut up you bastards" the only guy relevant I see is either trump or modi.
One of them is pure business guy other one I think never forget let's hope he never forget.

We should be ready for at least 5 lakh cases in coming month. Lockdown should be extended to whole April and we need to manufacture ventilators and test kits on war footing. It's not just about now, coronavirus will hit again in coming winters. We should have at least a million ICU beds across country.

It's doable if we start working 24/7 now. We have to improvise, invent and not follow western models.

This should be treated on urgency of a nuclear war.

Abe.......... itna tension lega tho nass phat jayage - corona lagne se pehle hi mar jayega. Most of the population will get immune from this strain by next year. And any way we will probably come up with a vaccine.

Have you got tested. You may already have contracted it without showing any symptoms. Most people probably are already through with the infection.

I've been debating about whether to 'go public' on having coronavirus - which I kind of did inadvertently this morning. So, now I may as well share my experience(s) with you in order to help those who are worried about it or who are thinking they might have it. Here goes

I never take any tension. I am cool as cucumber, always. But I don't want to be caught unprepared for a impending disaster when it is clearly visible.

And we should have that much medical apparatus anyway in nation of 1.3 billion. This is the right time when we are ahead of the curve. Otherwise vultures are already flying to feed on Indian crash.

I don't know why but totally feels like a cheap attempt at publicity for his book. Using the disease to get eyeballs.

Wrong...

Apparently once infected, there is irreversible lung damage if body immune system is not able to cope with it.
Actually the lung damage is due to cytokin storm which is overreaction of our immune system to virus rather than virus itself ( ironic isn't it?). It causes irreversible scarring of tissues on lungs and permanent lung damage. It can be stopped by using an immunosuppressant drug, preferably a monoclonal antibody based one. I can tell you that tocilizumab is the best one in this condition, but extremely costly ( 50-70k per infusion).

Bhaisaab the same people won't work on my farm and distributership despite getting a fair wage. I have heard a line again and again and that is " Videsh, Bambai, Punaa, Gujrat, Punjab etc. kamaane jaa raha hu" they get 200 to 250 for a day's work but the same people won't work for 250 at my farm or even in any one's farm in this village.

Armed forces are being prepared to take over the situation...

Gear up, reach out to civilian bodies: Rajnath Singh to defence forces
Defence minister Rajnath Singh issued the directive after reviewing his ministry’s action plan to tackle the pandemic with top officials including Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat and the chiefs of army, navy and air force.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with the Chief of Defence Staff and chiefs of Army and Navy on the action plan to deal with COVID-19, in New Delhi
NEW DELHI: Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday asked the armed forces, defence public sector undertakings and other military organisations to raise their level of preparedness to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic and provide all required assistance to the civilian administration.

The minister issued the directive after reviewing his ministry’s action plan to tackle the pandemic with top officials including Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat and the chiefs of army, navy and air force.

The minister was briefed that the armed forces have so far handled 1,462 evacuees and discharged 389 and that additional quarantine facilities are on standby with a 950-bed capacity. He was told that the army medical teams deployed in the Maldives have returned after completion of their mission and that they and two ships of navy are on standby to provide required assistance to friendly countries in the neighbourhood.

Earlier in the day, the defence industry has appealed to the government to treat the crisis as force majeure—or an unforeseen event restricting one’s ability to fulfil their contractual obligation—and release payments to smaller companies and relax delivery timelines for military equipment on order as they feared the Covid-19 lockdown could cause irreversible damage.

Industry experts said the sector has already been under strain due to stalled payments given budget constraints and the lockdown could wipe away an entire financial quarter, which could lead to the shutting down of several micro, small and medium enterprises.

There has also been a call by certain smaller companies to declare defence production as an essential service, so that an extended lockdown will have only a limited impact. Several recommendations are being made to the government, including a special provision for not penalising companies for late delivery of goods, given that the lockdown has shuttered most establishments.

“The defence industry in general and especially MSMEs are staring at lengthening of working capital cycles, larger locked-up working capital in the form of work-in-progress on the shop floor and supply chain in anticipation of planned deliveries,” industry body Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) wrote to the ministry earlier this week.

Among a series of suggestions are granting extensions for filing responses to existing tenders and request for information that were due in the lockdown period. This suggestion has been accepted by the ministry and appropriate guidelines have been issued.

In a virtual meeting on Thursday, defence industry representatives shared apprehensions on the long-term impact of the lockdown, with some companies raising the point that they have the capacity to manufacture critically needed equipment like ventilators but the whole supply chain has been disrupted as operations have ceased everywhere.

“Two companies are making components and vital parts for ventilators but they are unable to open the factory due to the lockdown. One company has some modules ready but it cannot be shipped or distributed due to the situation on the ground,” SIDM president Jayant D Patil, who is also a Larsen & Toubro board member, told ET.

While the defence industry could step up to make the life saving equipment, the supply chain disruption needs to be resolved. “If a central agency can share the technology, many companies will be able to make them. There is an open source design also available but for that there needs to be a supply chain that can give basic parts,” Patil said.

A major issue being faced by the industry is the limited banking services available, which means that banking guarantees and performance bonds are not being issued, coming in the way of extension of contracts and deliveries.

The industry has also requested a moratorium on all encashments of bank guarantees in case of late deliveries, as supply is bound to be disrupted in the coming months due to the lockdown. The concern is that defence public sector units that outsource work to smaller companies may automatically encash delivery bonds in case of delays, which would drive the private sector to ruin.

The industry has also requested the ministry to ensure that all pending payments against which invoices have been raised be cleared immediately and that the government could consider an interest subvention for working capital costs for the period of disruption.

Treat China with Apprehension - it is a Chinese virus

The Chinese are behaving like fools running around absolving themselves of total responsibility for spreading Coronavirus*to the rest of the world and killing in thousands both in China as well as in the rest of the world. It is not over yet and could kill more. The lives and livelihood of six billion people on this earth have been compromised. The whole world, including 1.3 billion people in India is under a lockdown to prevent its spread. Today they are telling the world that they have nothing to do with It. The Chinese propaganda machine has started to blame the US for it. Very stupidly they are stating that this virus is an American invention and it is them who sent virus to China. Nothing could be farther away from the truth. In fact, it began months before the world became aware in China. It sickened a whole city of Wuhan in China and then came close to sickening the whole province of 60 million people. As they say they have managed to control it, but how do we trust their word. Had they made the rest of the world aware of it, the results today would have been different.

* Coronavirus is the name applied to the virus and the disease it causes is known as Corvid-19.

That is not the end, they have sickened people in 185 nations in the world, leaving only a few counties untouched. At the time of writing 537,000 people have been stricken and 24,100 are dead. This impact would have been much lower had China disclosed all details early on.

If I were them (the Chinese) I would have owned the problem and work with the rest of the world to solve it. Not them, they are blaming others for this virus. It would seem that they have bribed the WHO officials to side with them. They are stonewalling UN Security Council meet to talk about the issue. Alternatively their huge propaganda machine has begun putting out a word that most factories like Tesla, Toyota and many others have started to operate.

What do we do with them? How do we force them to be forthright and truthful, when a similar situation develops in the future. I am not saying it lightly, because 15 years back they sent SAARS and now Coronavirus. Now, after thousands dead and maybe $5 to $10 trillion expense we ask them to become a democratic civil society or else. By else I mean, that the whole world stops having any commercial relationship with them. Also, all Chinese Assets be grabbed and used to compensate nations which have suffered tremendously. There is going to be a huge supply chain disruption, but we will get over it the same way as we are getting over Covid-19. This supply chain has to be re-established less Chinese In next three years. That should be the forced outcome of this disaster. In the future dealing with China is not to be considered as a viable option.

  • Coronavirus infected 25-year-old mingled with 1,000 guests at wedding in Dombivli

KALYAN: A 25-year-old Dombivli resident testing positive for coronavirus has sent the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) into a tizzy as he had mingled with at least 1,000 guests at his brother’s wedding on March 19. His report came in on Wednesday.

The youth, who works in a multinational company, had gone on a trip to Turkey with 21 of his friends. He returned home on March 15, and four days later attended his brother's wedding in Dombivli.

Everyone is watching, reading doomsday material. But there’s a reason for it
The civic health department has started tracking all local residents and relatives who attended the wedding as well as the 21 friends who had accompanied him on the Turkey trip to be tested for the coronavirus. Till Thursday evening, they examined at least 5,300 people for symptoms.

The patient is undergoing treatment at Kasturba Hospital. Three members of his family are also undergoing tests there, said sources.

According to sources, around 1,000 guests attended the March 19 function despite the state government's notification which had banned the gathering of over 50 people in one place, including weddings, to curb the spread of the virus.

A civic health official said that after the wedding, the youth started exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19—cough and fever—and he went to a nearby hospital, where doctors examined him and immediately sent him to Kasturba Hospital.

His report, which came in on Wednesday, showed that he had tested positive for coronavirus. Kasturba officials shared the information with the KDMC, which sprung into action and sanitized the entire locality and started conducting medical checkup of all residents.

Till date, six people have tested positive for coronavirus in the Kalyan-Dombivli city. While two of them were discharged after recovery, four are still undergoing treatment. Of the six patients, three had contracted the infection after coming in contact with those with international travel history, said sources.

NAVI MUMBAI: Of two more Covid19 positive cases reported in areas under the
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, one was the son of a 55-year-old Covid-19 positive office-bearer of a religious place in Vashi
, while the other was his house maid.

It is learnt that the officebearer of the religious place, was initially reluctant to get tested at Kasturba Hospital even though he was one of the contacts of the 68-yearold Filipino who tested positive and later succumbed. He insisted on taking his own vehicle. He is understood to have gone to Kasturba hospital in the personal vehicle after much persuasion, and when he returned, he claimed to NMMC officials that he had tested negative. However, civic doctors who were not altogether convinced by his reply took him forcibly taken to Kasturba hospital, where he tested positive.
