I think this is standard procedure for patient who has tested +ve, test every few days till result is -ve for two consecutive tests.

That high number is because of 1 chutiya peaceful family from Sangli who had been to Iran for pilgrimage. Today 12 person of that family tested + earlier 4 had tested + from the same family.
