Sir,Clearly they haven’t listened to reason because they are out on the street. I think a lot of people here are confused about what the police reaction has to be. As I said the police can’t be everywhere and the only option is to crack down hard at the very beginning. The police aren’t going after everyone but they have no choice. Everyone wants to live their lives. The government has ordered a lockdown. The police have to enforce it. You are not going to get the videos of the police telling and reasoning with people because that isn’t interesting. That’s happening too. Everywhere. The police though are there to enforce the law and that for now is to not let people on the street without reasons accepted by the administration.
You know what’s funny, if a Muslim guy gets the rough end of the stick of the law, everyone’s cheering for the cops. Not so when the shoe is on the other foot.I just hope and pray that your time tested method doesn't put that magnitude of tension that the rope (read fabric/ social fabric) snaps. Then not many would be there to be blamed.

If you want technical answer to this, lathi charge or baton charge on a non violent crowd can have only objective of 'dispersal'. Now go back and watch the so called videos. With what objective the force is used. You know what’s funny, if a Muslim guy gets the rough end of the stick of the law, everyone’s cheering for the cops. Not so when the shoe is on the other foot.
A curfew has been ordered by the government and it has to be enforced. Sometimes through persuasion of words, sometimes with stronger persuasive methods. Argue that the curfew shouldn’t exist and that we should simply do what we were doing before if you want but you can’t have two sets of rules, one for those who sit at home following the law and one for those who decide they can’t be bothered by the law and will do their own thing. Let’s just end this curfew then and take the consequences whatever they might be.
Yup. Finally. A couple of jcb’s did the job. With plenty of riot Police around.what's up with park circus shahin bag? did it fold up?

i have relatives who still don't use a fridge. they follow the brahmin custom of consuming food as soon as possible after it is prepared. in indian weather this isn't usually for more than 6 hours. this will obviously lead to people stocking up for at least a week's worth of provisions sans perishables, more when there isn't a fridge and you're cooking every meal. Why people are suddenly so high on lockdown... Indian household has habit to ration for a month alwyas.. we indian are having a habit to always but ration for at least a month, like rice, daal, oil, sugar.. at any point of time people have at least fifteen days of resources at home.. only vegetable and milk are bought evry day or alternate day....
Considering current unique situation we all can manage with rice and daal only for a month.. it will help us to loose some weight...
The problem of panic buying is US and Europe culture because they always buy ready to eat from stores and mainly whatever they can store in fridge... Mostly item which can last 2 or three days... I have not seen any western house who store wheat in huge quantity...
The moment the fridges become common thing.. we started loosing this habit..
World needs to learn from India on how to ration for a month
Sir,It’s weird that you are blaming the police, you were breaking the curfew. You are not supposed to be “strolling” on any road, especially with kids and I have no idea what you mean by the “even the bus doesn’t ply”. We are talking about a lockdown, you are the one in the wrong and the policeman had every right to yell at you. Clearly if everyone followed your idea and went out, the curfew would be a joke and we would have a million cases in no time. Why do you think you should get special exemption?
Also, what’s this silliness about cutting a policeman into two with a “grass cutting” tool? He’s doing his job, you were in violation and I have no idea of why you were carrying a grass cutting tool...if you had done anything silly, you would be in the same position as that moron who attacked Bangalore City cops. Or worse.
You need to step back and understand that a curfew is just that, a curfew. You don’t get to decide what you can do. Take a deep breath and rethink your angry reaction.

Fu@king arrest her already !!! That bitch needs to be arrested , spitting on some one in times like these is very serious.
Women empowerment! That's the problem one faces when you put anyone or any group on such a high pedestal that they aren't even answerable or held accountable according to the law of the land.
In the US she would've been taken down in an instant for spitting on a government servant and arrested irrespective of the gender of the law enforcer present.
The patience of the cop present is indeed impressive seeing how he managed to not arrest her in anger even after she spit on his clothes, that too during a pandemic.
The Police are authorised to use force to ensure compliance. I can’t speak for the behaviour of the cops who you met but you will appreciate that they are all types. I didn’t know your location , it’s quite possible things may look excessive but he’s there because that’s the job he’s been given and his not having protective gear is not exactly his fault, the administration is at fault. Can’t expect them to be an expert in epidemics , which is why they will only do what they are told to. He’s as much a victim as you, he’s probably putting in unimaginable number of hours and it’s we who have been more lucky in life who have to appreciate that.Sir,
I understand the meaning of lock down very well. talking of law, which law states that poice man can roam streets on singham style and swoop down aggresively on you with kids around.... to the extend of hitting u .. who authorised them to hit me ... they are not judges...is it OK for them to threaten a normal joe like me as if i am a criminal.
Its a diff story that those police man themselves were not in protective gear.. and were teaching me on corona vorus.. hell they could not pronounce it correclty..
Point is - I agree, i was wrong even if i am in remote village where population can be counted on figers where the nearest covid 19 case is some 250 kms away some where in PB .. My point is aggresive Police Behaviour .. and their wild ways.. they are to protect citizens not threaten them..
